sisabetI am having difficulty installing the patch (thanks to Elke and Lum I was able to do the registry thing and removed the thingy-doey) - but I don't think this has anything to do with the worm - anyone ever heard of this?
KB823980 Setup Error: Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer.
So I found out what the Cryptographic Service is -- but no idea how to fix this.
