Well, I have had it. I am reduced to totally sleeping on my couch because my bedroom is a far scarier place to wake up in when being chased by a demented, cannibalistic Frodo. After work, I am going to the movie theater right beside my office and finally watching "Sin City" so that this matter will be OVER and I can get some frelling sleep. In my own bed.

Sometimes I like to pretend I am actually in charge of what goes on in my own head and sometimes I just go with it.

Thankfully, the hormonal tide seems to be drifting to acceptable me-levels as "Babe" no longer seems like A Must Vid NOW concept. There was a moment yesterday where I was thoroughly convinced that I had to vid BOC's "Burnin'" and VID IT NOW, but I was exhausted and emotional.

It stands to reason, though - if I wasn't limited by the ::counts on hand:: five vid-projects currently over-running my hard drive - if that wasn't there, what kind of horror would I introduce to the world? Cause, really - that whole "House" to "Desperado" thing didn't scare me one bit. And it should have. It really should have.

It is possible that my inability to end certain projects and clear up badly needed hard drive space is just an unconscious protection against the Me That I Sometimes Become.

Otherwise the world would have had an Angel/Spike vid to "Babe" waaaay back in 2003. Maybe.

I thought you were talking about the pig movie. Oh yes. A spike/angel/babe-the-pig vid. ("That'll do, vamp. That'll do")

Hee, no I was referring to the Styx song "Babe" - kill me now.

It is 9am the next morning and I STILL have that song in my head. DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!

You're a hobbit in this dream too? :D

It is dream logic. For some reason everyone else is not thrown by the fact that we are in this strange hobbit's basement apartment. Or that he is a hobbit with a basement apartment. That smells.

At this point, Killa and I would take Angel/Spike set to *anything*.

And since it's you? It would be good.

Well - I am so tempted right now to do a 30 sec spoof to "I Got You Babe"

Which one is Cher?

Gah - clearly Spike. Cause this is Angel:

I hope that does the trick. What I saw onscreen was worse than what I'd imagined, and I still have lingering heebie jeebies almost a month later. Not trying to jinx you, I'm just sayin'.

There is absolutely no way a movie can top my imagination when it gets to this level.

Yeah - there have been movies I have seen, that afterward I wanted to go back to being the person I was before I saw *that* (Se7en comes to mind)- but that was different. I watched that with no idea about what was coming.

If my brain was trying to come up with elements of "se7en" on its own without having the backbone of the movie - I'd probably still be in a corner gibbering. As it was, the movie was disturbing and I was disturbed but that was the end of that.

This is a known thing that horror writers and moviemakers try to keep in mind, that showing is almost never as scary as implying because the reader/viewer tends to think up something much worse than what would actually be shown.

Oooh, that's me and The Blair Witch Project. I freaked myself out for months before I saw it. I got scared biking on a country road during the day through the woods because there were trees around and I knew that they went camping in the woods. I imagined spooking things in my room at night. I couldn't sleep without the lights. And then I eventually saw the movie, and all was good. (I mean, I still get one persistant vision at times, but other than that, not afraid of the woods or dark or anything, just a visceral sense of what iminent doom feels like.)

I think it says a lot about how successfully I've managed to separate "Elijah Wood" and "Frodo Baggins" in my own mind that I didn't realize psycho-killer-hobbit nightmares were in fact Sin City-inspired until you mentioned the movie. And I've seen Sin City.

I have no separation of Elijah Wood and Frodo Baggins in my mind. Apparently.

I think the movie will cure me of this.

Really, any movie Wood's been in since LotR helps with the separation -- especially something like Eternal Sunshine or Ash Wednesday.

Angel/Spike to "Babe"?! Well, if anyone could make it work, it'll definitely be you... :)

Aw man. I can't vid House even if the point is to make a horrifying vid. There are no superheroes and no fight sequences and no one dances at clubs.

Thankfully, I am past my PMS-wallowing in the lite-FM side of life. Whew.

But there are damn significant looks, a cane, air piano, real piano, and air guitar. And don't forget the pill popping. :)
