Feel the Xander love. Feel it. Okay - that is enough feeling, now get your hands off mah man! Hee.

Not to spoil a good thing and all, seriously I am so glad that everyone is finally realizing that Xander is a decent man - but did anyone else hear "Wind Beneath My Wings" during his speech? Hee...Must have been cold there in my shadow... This is not the first time this season that song has popped into my head - "I believe in you Spike" prompted it as well. Hmmm... considering that I hate the song on principle I would be annoyed - except maybe it is on purpose? Anyone else hearing it? Cause if so it could be a masterful stroke of the writers - foreshadowing future Spuffyness by reminding everyone of the song that Buffy wanted played as the first dance at her wedding to Spike. Maybe not. Also - there was no need for masterful foreshadowing considering the tummy tuck and handhold that happened in the teaser. Puh-leeze - I saw "The X-Files" -I know what that means... Buffy and Spike are in luv. Shoot me now. Although, I kinda liked it... damn I'm a sucker for UST.

I am so glad that Dawn is not a potential. That would just destroy Buffy - dontcha think? I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want someone they love to be the slayer. I think the whole purpose of Dawn being around is that Buffy gets to ensure that Dawn has the kinda life (meaning a life) that Buffy will never have. It would really suck if both of Joyce's kids were slayers.

Where is Spike staying? Xander's? Cause I'm pretty sure he is not living at Casa Summers. I like it when Spike is at Xander's so if he isn't living there don't tell me. It might spoil my week.

One question: Is there a new episode next week?

Alas, it's a rerun next week ("Help") but then I think three new shows in a row!

Aren't we all? Because really, story without UST isn't worth watching.

And I agree with you on the Dawn thing. Dawn represents Buffy's dreams in the same way that the Xander/Anya romance did-- Buffy feels she can't have it, so she wants those around her to be happy and live safe, normal lives. And Dawn's particularly important to Buffy because she's the last of her family. Thinking about how hard it was last season for her to acknowledge that Dawn was old enough where not only did she have a right to be in the gang, but that she needed to be better prepared for being part of the Slayer's life. And that was only training for being a Scooby-- if Dawn face the danger of being a potential Slayer, Buffy might not be able to handle it. Especially since not only is there the potential of being called, now there's also the certainty of being hunted by the Harbringers.

I did like how they followed Dawn's POV in this episode though-- you felt her sadness at feeling left out and unimportant, but when the chips fell Dawn realized she didn't even WANT that responsibility, not really.

I think Xander is living at the Summers place ("Eve? Eve who's at our house?" Okay, one word, but still). So if Spike is there they are *technically* still living together... ;)

Here's something I want to see. Spike and Xander. In a scene. Together. Patrolling perhaps. Maybe fixing breakfast. Showering. Whatever. Is this too much to ask?
