Jan. 16th, 2003 07:52 amSo I liked Angel last night. Shoot me now, but I'm not in the mood to be critical...actually, no I am in the mood to be critical, just not about this. I have major fandom depression; is this normal? Even when The X-Files was going downhill, I was okay - there was stuff to watch. But now, if what keeps going around is true, it is the last season of Buffy and Angel. WTF? I was relying on Angel having at least a fifth season. Add to this Farscape's cancellation and I ask you: what the hell am I going to watch? Friends? Fuck that - I won't.
I would say that there is sure to be a new series that is well written and acted and has intriguing characters and a well-defined sense of whimsy - except recent history assures me that is such a series were to exist it would be canceled in the first 12 episodes. Meanwhile, Joe Millionaire inspires 100 spin-offs...
So what am I gonna do with myself? I may be forced to get a life *shudder* I don't really want a life - I like staying at home just fine, thank you very much. Yesterday I considered throwing myself into my work, but the kind of work I do does not exactly engender itself to being something one would throw themselves into... kinda like a volcano. Maybe I will travel? Anybody out there want a generally perky, over-talkative with a touch of obsessive-compulsive disorder houseguest? I'll buy dinner.

Don't forget Firefly
Date: 2003-01-16 06:54 pm (UTC)With Buffy and Firefly gone, maybe UPN would be willing to give us...
Joss Whedon's
Enterprise
Would that not kick ass? Next Generation sucked its first two seasons before they changed the direction of the show. It's not too late to save Enterprise...
At least I have Survivor and the Jack Bauer Power Hour to keep me warm at night.
