Is it morally wrong for me to sic trolls in my LJ on
notsisabet? Cause that is kinda what I did. Well, that and engage the troll because I am really just fascinated by this kinda fixation. Also, he seems jackassy enough that I probably know him in real-life. It is weird how I just decided that he was a he - he could be a she - what do I know? I'm more comfortable being bitchy to a he than a she so he gets genderized in my head. Which is actually just a computer matrix.

I can overhear a coworker talking on the phone about The Passion of the Christ. She just said something about how people are upset because the movie shows how the Jews killed Jesus, and I quote..."but they did." and I want to interupt and saysomething like "No, the Jewish people did not kill Jesus. Guns killed Jesus! Wait - wrong slogan!" except then she will know I am eavesdropping and I am already despised enough as a Godless She-Devil Heathen Pinkie Commie Liberal Bitch, so I refrain. Yeah. Moving back to Lexington was a great idea.
Now her issue seems to be that the movie was not religious enough. I can kinda agree with that in theory. I can't see the point in making a movie about death when your religioun celebrates life after death and a resurrection. Seems to me - that is where I'd put my focus if the movie I was making was a labor of Faith and Testament. But that is just me.
This morning I woke up to find out "Jack's Back" had been playing while I slept on Bravo. I love this movie and wish and hope and wish again for it to be released on DVD. I only caught the end which sucks cause the best part of the movie is the beginning where it delivers the biggest audience mindfuck my 13 year old eyes (first time I saw it) had ever witnessed. Young James Spader in leather. Mmmmm.
Now onto Angel - Spoilers for last night's ep
Damn, he needs a hug. Someone hug Angel, STAT. Spike - you do it. I'm having to pull away from the Angel/Wes camp and formally declaring that at this point in time...well, Spike is just better for Angel.
Damn, Wes is messed up. I veered and careened between disliking the direction his character was taking to loving it. I usually started loving it as soon as Wes got violent and the deal he made with Blue Anime chick at the end was vintage Sick Fuck Wesley - so I could be totally on board with it, but I've just decided that he is no longer a suitable candidate for Angel's boyfriend. Which is actually cool since Spike is campaigning oh so hard for that role. Damn. Spike may love Angel more than me.
Dawn was upset that Spike never mentioned the whole "ripped outta heaven" thang - but I think it was in character. Spike probably looks back on that as Buffy having some rough months but it all working out fine in the end. Plus - Fred is much better adjusted and far less suicidal than a slayer. I can see Spike making those connections.
Poor Gunn. He needs to just give it up and be evil cause at least then we would get teh Sexy.
I felt Harmony was acting all out of character last night. She may be tactless, but she is not Cordelia. Stop having her offer sincere comfort long-term and dude - she would so *get* why Gunn made the deal he made - remember? She sold out Cordelia and Co. to some pyramid guy - she knows evil. Eh. Harm just made no sense to me last night, but I can ignore.
What really got to me? This whole destruction of Fred's soul business. Now, I don't wanna be telling Joss how to do his job, but that was frickin' harsh. I mean - I come from the camp where souls are like matter - they can neither be created nor destroyed, so this is hard for me to accept on any term. I hope it isn't true cause man - that would suck. It would also give Fred dead bragging rights over Lilah and I just cannot have that.
* Just rewatched The X-Files Season 4/5 finale/premiere last night. Ahhh, suicide Mulder and cancer-stricken Scully lying to an FBI Panel. Good times.

All the boys on Angel needed Hugs last night.
Date: 2004-03-04 08:33 am (UTC)And Ugh on the Passion work-discussion. I had one of the guys in the office asking me repeatedly during lunch last week WHEN I was going to see the movie, and when I said "I'm not"- he replied "But aren't you Catholic?". Work, let alone the lunch room is not a place I desire to discuss my religious beliefs- especially tied into a decision about paying money to see a movie.

Wes: You're really campaigning for Angel's new boyfriend of the year aren't you?
Spike: As defending champion, you nervous?
Wes: Hell yeah, Angel will never love me now that I'm the one who has gone completely insane...

Date: 2004-03-04 03:47 pm (UTC)No, I would be honored to smack around your troll. Especially since I get bored a lot at work where I am an insurance adjuster here in Kentucky where I live. I need something to occupy my time.Fantasies about Spike/Angel/Wes/Clark/Lex/Brian/Justin orgies can only fill five or six hours a day.

Date: 2004-03-08 08:48 am (UTC)Maybe we should write a fic where we nail Justin to a cross? I'm thinking The Passion of the Christ - only sexier.

Date: 2004-03-04 10:05 pm (UTC)As for the matter of Angel, I'm all for support of the Spike and Angel bit. Spike not mentioning more details of Buffy, not seeing it as out of character this season at least since he's been pretty mum about almost everything of his life in Sunnydale so far. Maybe I'll see it differently going back to watch it, but for now he always comes across hesitant.
Yeah, agreed about Harmony. Really great scene, honestly, but still made me sit back and think, "Would Harmony really do that? Seems a bit insightful for her..."
I personally quit trying to figure out where the stance on souls is in the Jossverse. He's all over the board with that. *shrugs*
