I think Harm is different is this episode because Fred was actually nice to her. And she is probably one of the few people that ever really was nice. She has always been evil, but we see even in Buffy s4 and 5 that all she really wants is to have someone care about her and be nice to her. She is much the same Harm as a vamp that she was in life. She just wants people to like her, whether that means being a Cordette or an "evil mastermind leader" with her own minions to follow her. Which is actually cool since Spike is campaigning oh so hard for that role. Wes: You're really campaigning for Angel's new boyfriend of the year aren't you? Spike: As defending champion, you nervous?
