Okay - remember that Ghostbusters issue I was having last weekend - namely everyone else lined up with a character:
Bill Murray is Brian
Justin is the Gate Keeper
Michael is obviously Dan Ackroyd's character

But who was Egon -Emmett just didn't cut it and you have to have Egon. Egon is the deal breaker.

I mentioned it to wrenlet in another post - and she said Egon is obviously Ben.

I am so relieved. Not that this means anything - other than I can go rewatch Ghostbusters with a find/replace button in my head and be entertained. But me being entertained has never really been an issue. I'm pretty much easily fascinated. Give me a ball of string and I am busy for hours.

Please, do not taint the greatest movie ever made by making E_thing the Keymaster. Good lord. And who is Winston Zeddemore? C'mon, Ernie Hudson made a throwaway character into a must-have, so . . . who? Em wouldn't work there either, sadly. Maybe Vic? He's down-to-earth enough to be Zed.

RGB, incidentally, was my first fandom, so I have watched GB and GBII countless times.

Ben works totally as Egon - and it also gives an added poignancy to the Egon/Venkman/Stantz interactions. Sniff. I'm all choked up.
