I was going to spend tonight getting to know my capture card, but J. just called and said he was coming to pick me up. Apparently there is this little thing called a life that I'm not having and he is sick of it. We originally were going to Madison Flame to see a band, but I think we have decided to just hang out and drink instead. Also - lesbian bars depress me because I never get hit on. I think this is one of the reasons I love BoB so much. I always get hit on there. Of course we could go to the Flying Saucer where the complete lack of straight boys hitting on me would depress me... sigh. I missed Firefly tonight. I did not see the "Watch, you bastard" Icons until too late. Another reason to be depressed.

I finished "Closer" but by no means is it done. No, I just know how it ends. I have a song that is now completely covered in clips and that is more than I had -say, six months ago, when I first started this project. After I capture "Amends" and work on some better source for a few key scenes the vid will be almost there. Then I have to tighten some things up - work out a tech issue or three hundred and then - maybe- the vid will be ready for beta. I'm kinda hoping my original betas will all volunteer again (kinda like the 4 horsemen). I've kept all of ya'll's comments from the first go-round and would like to know what you think now...

How great is Miss Murchison? She keeps the inspiration for "Closer" flowing by sending me beautiful things like this:

Hey, my guy Donne earned me a mention in your LJ! I feel honored, although Donne deserves all praise. This makes me want to run out and find more etchings to show you. (They say showing a girl your etchings is the way to her heart.) And, hey, did you know there's a Highlander episode about the four horsemen? Lots of bad wigs.

I have heard that there is a Methos-themed 4 horsemen episode, but I am sworn to watch the seasons in order.

Dawn is putting together a Dante Gallery dedicated to a BtVS writer. She is torn regarding which writer. She feels Marti takes a lot of flack and she should take up for her (Into the Woods is Dawn's absolute favorite episode) but Jane is often taken for granted. We are digging Drew Goddard and his coolness lately, but then I have a great love for David Fury and his man-pain. In fact, we are stymied... Who would you dedicate a Dante gallery to Miss M?

Sisabet, I love Dr. Dawn's idea and have been giving this some thought since I saw your post this morning. I think that the honors should go to Jane Espenson, since, if memory serves me, she has written some of the most grotesque episodes recently. Wasn't she responsible for Buffy walking around with the severed finger in "Doublemeat Palace?" (And if working in a fast-food joint isn't symbolic of a circle of hell, I don't know what is.) She also gave us the lovely flesh-eating Gnarl in "Same Time, Same Place." And she's penned some nasty things for Firefly as well.

So, although it's a close thing, I'd go with Jane.
