I should be working but I can't concentrate.

Instead I'm thinking about a QaF US idea - Michael and Brian should switch bodies ala "Freaky Friday" - I want to read this. Someone write, okay?

LOL. That's a fabulous idea. Brian wouldn't last one day working in the comic book store. Although I think if I tried to write it, it would just come out really, really stupid.

I thought there was a story out *there* where Michael hits his head and thinks he's Brian. Justin's all :-! because Michael expects to get some blond boy ass and Justin's like "Nuh-uh. No way." Then Brian comes home from a business trip or something and he's told he has to stay away from Michael because he'd trip out, and Dave is still in the picture because he tries to see Michael...

I wish I remembered where I read this. I don't think it was finished, but now I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not. ;)

See, that makes me sad. Why does fic make me sad?

I mean it is obvious that Mysterious Marilyn grants a wish to Michael - an unspoken wish, his heart's desire or something (I'm certain it could work out) and the next day he wakes up in Brian's body. It could be hilarious. Wacky. Or really really bad. Actually, it could go either way.

But the idea intrigues me. I'm down with the wacky lately.

Okay - so I told nightsister up there (post ahead of this one) that maybe MM grants Michael a wish - his heart's desire - and he doesn't even know what it is. You could even do it without MM, Mikey could be at a carnival or something...

Anyhoo - he wakes up the next day and he is in Brian's body. Has no idea how he got there - same for Brian.

The situation of waking up and realization could be hilarious.

Then - you have to figure out plot points to keep them moving and active. Plus - you have Brian - possibly considering that he has lost his mind hunting down Justin to convince him that he is not Michael, he is Brian. And what will Michael do? I don't think he is going to be all thrilled to be Brian - but it is what he has always wanted - and plotwise, they will have to pretty much live the other's life until they reverse the thingy cause guess what? You can't explain that you just body-swapped.

*cough* I warned you, insane. There could be a reason Brian can't just lock himself somewhere and drink himself into a stupor. Like say... inventory. He would never fuck up Michael's dream, i.e., his store, so there is hilarity there while he puzzles out Michael's stocking system and tries not to drive all his customers away. (Bonus, I actually proposed that maybe Brian n' Justin would tend store in the fourth season while Michael was away, heehee.)

Next question: Do they tell anybody? I'd have to go for yeah 'cause, hot as Ben is, I don't think Brian would bottom for him ;) And Michael probably suspects Brian would kick his ass six ways from Sunday if he so much as touches Justin. He might go for "be really rude and piss Justin off enough to crash at his own place," but can Michael pull off Brian-level snark? Hmmmmmm...

So there's a phone call in there somewhere, to confirm yes, they're in each other's bodies. Michael yells at Brian to put the fucking bottle down, that's his liver he's pickling, Brian says something nasty back and then there's silence, as Brian is stunned at how whiny he sounds and Michael is... stunned at how whiny his voice really is. *laugh* I love Michael, really, but that whiiiiiine... eh.

Yeah - well - Michael can always blackmail Brian into keeping up appearances, since Mikey is now in charge of Brian's rep and all. He could threaten to sing "Wind Beneath My Wings" kareoke night or something (cause I have to work that in there, somehow).

Also, I think the Significant Others will have to be told and then you have the wierdness of Justin having to relate to Brian in Michael's body and vice versa with Ben. And then Brian and Michael having to relate to each other and I think Brian probably would have a nervous breaksdown on the 2nd day.

Shit - didn't Anna S already do this in "Subtleties"? That is my lot in life - every idea I will ever ever have has already happened in Subtleties. But, other than the body-switch, it is kinda original - isn't it? Except that I am totally also ripping off Freaky Friday.

And then we get the meeting (after Justin and Ben have been convinced - which deserves several scenes of hilarity in its own right) where Brian-as-Michael and Michael-as-Brian are at the loft with Ben and Justin trying to come up with a plan. And every time that Justin looks at Michael-as-Brian and kinda licks his lips (you know, his look), Brian-as-Michael smacks him upside the head and tells him to stop doing that and Justin is all "I can't help it, it is an ingrained reaction." and Brian-as-Michael kinda pauses and says, "Yeah, I'd do me" which causes both Ben and Michael-as-Brian to turn to him and gape and Brian-as-Michael is all "C'mon! You were expecting another reaction?"

Do you think Justin would agree to have sex with Brian in Michael's body, or would he be too creeped out? Would Michael in Brian's body try to have sex with Justin and/or the world? Would Brian feel violated by that? So many questions...Somebody definitely needs to write this.

See - I'm thinking Justin is going to be so confused by everything that it might be a concern but not an issue.

I think the real issue lies in Brian-as-Michael maybe letting Michael-as-Brian fuck him - or at least loudly entertaining the notion. Cause Brian would so let his body fuck him - and Michael - well it would be interesting Michael's reaction. I think he would be partly horrified and partly intrigued and just really freaked out.
