Who knew vidding was like an obsession - that once you start, it takes over your mind and the next thing you know it is 5am and you haven't been to bed, you haven't actually moved anything but your mouse hand in over six hours and you are vaguely thirsty but ignoring both that and the dull pain in your head. That you blink and realize that your eyes are quite dry and you have been fitzing with a 2 second clip for over 30 minutes only to clear it from the timeline. If you could actively form coherent thoughts, you would realize that you need to get up and go to the bathroom, or go to bed, or perform any of those vital functions that normally don't get forgotten about.

Well - I knew. Hee. And apparently, from recent trips through my FList [livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen, [livejournal.com profile] mintwitch, and [livejournal.com profile] mpoetess are all finding out about that as well.

For these great ladies and anyone else delving into this for the first time, allow me to direct your attention to [livejournal.com profile] sockkpuppett's seminal post: The Life Cycle of Vid and Vidder.

Currently I am vacillating between #11 and #15 with the Justin "Epic" vid. Ugh. Oh, and I hate Premiere. I do. Like Angelus hates puppies. So why am I wishing I was home with it right now?

My only frustration is that I can't vid and write at the same time. Like at all. I'm either plotting out vid stuff and working on clips, or I'm plotting out stories and actually writing. Can't do both at once, which means vid things go on hold when bunnies bite and vice versa.

[pout]

The whole world should cater to me.

Bwah! I can't wait to watch MP's vid - I've got it downloaded and am turning it on as soon as I log off LJ.

God yes. I had to actually train myself to take a break and walk away whenever I found that I wasn't accomplishing anything. Premiere is like crack. There's something strangely addictive about the razor tool.
