Um... do some actual work. Quit wondering what Brian smells like.

Spike/Xander To Do List:
AIM idea to mrmonkeybottoms. Remember the end scene last night? Well, I've got the next chapter, including Willow, projectile vomiting, an air conditioner, and a line that is cracking me up. Silly monkey, makes me dream in Spander.

Vidding To Do List:
Well - I finished the first draft of Epic, so I can put that aside to breathe.
Recut "Last Stand."
Recut specific parts of "Without Me."
Figure out the glitch in "Essence."
Redo that thing in "66" that bugs me.
Am I really happy with "Closer"? Should I replace the FFL footage with better source? I should work on the audio, I think I can fix some of the voice-overs (there is a bit of a background music whine on them and I think I can rip that out. Maybe).
Make "Middle of the Road" watchable.

QaF fic/vid recs!! I only have 3 QaF vids downloaded, and I need more. (I *actually watched* that "not really a vid" Brian/Justin vid again last night from beginning to end because I needed something to watch! I need help.)

I've never read a QaF fanfic, but I'd like to...

Not to make you reccing any more complicated, but could you list the spoiler info for them? Because I want to see vids and fics but I don't want to be any more spoiled than I already am. I did find a site with some vids on it, but they weren't labeled, so I have to wait until I'm done with season 3 to see any of them!

Oh-- and what's wrong with "Middle of the Road"? It's a great vid. You are way too critical of your own work. But hey, if you can find some way to make it even better, more power to you!

and now I'm thinking, and... and.... hmmmmm. my random instinct/brain says: slightly acidic? sharp expensive cologne, but it wouldn't be conventional. (it would be expensive because it's expensive -- that makes it better) he'd want warm tones to it... musky without being overly musky and cheap. just a touch.

and damn you. damn you. now I'm all turning this over and over in my head.

(and justin. justin doesn't even wear cologne, I bet. he probably has a bottle somewhere, but he forgets to apply it most days. he's all clean clothes and walking outside smelling. with that dry, raisin aftersmell of ciggarettes)

I don't even try to stop myself from wondering what Justin smells like. Most days I just wanna smell him. Or maybe smell like him. It's easier to try to catch a whiff of Justin than Brian, though. Brian is all exotic.

This Justin thing is driving me MAD. I babbled a bit more about it in my journal, and now I'm still sitting here, and. like. Brian coming home and kissing his cheek, and smelling the oak tree that Justin doodled under between his second and third class, and the wind in his coat, and it's just nothing like new car smell or the plastic, polished scent of his office -- all fake lemon fresh and hot burnt vaccuum -- and absolutely unlike anything he ever dreamed he'd want except he wants it, he wants to slide his face down into the baby-soft but firming curve Justin's neck and leave it pressed there a moment. And Brian grabs at his cock instead, makes Justin jump back and chuckle.

Because it's all sitting in my HEAD, and now I'm all thumbing through B/J scenes in my mind, and I'm on the end of 103, and Justin would have smelled and tasted of a strange mix of men's colognes, and metallic, plastic-y glitter, and sweet soda breath instead of the bitter beer taste that Brian's instinctively expecting.

He has whiskey on his hands after, because someone spilled and he pressed his palms down (leaning into the table) without knowing. And there's leather, from the coat. There's a wetness hanging on him from the fog, but then there's this also underlying warm smell that he brings with him from Daphne's [which would smell of microwave cooking, and yogurt, and cheap incense].

this combination of youth and adult world, and that's so very Justin. He must have smelled so like Justin in that moment, in the strangest can't-put-your-finger-on-it way, and that's why Brian can't help but tease, "you looked hot" and be coaxed into playing despite his worry.

So now I'm obsessed and trying to build the Justin smell with products. - Like his clothes smell like fabric softner, but what brand? And what kind of soap does he use? See I want to make him an Ivory soap person, cause I'm an Ivory soap person (But Brian is so not - and I think he would use Brian's soap, but that just throws me cause it makes Justin smell wrong) and there is this shampoo that smells like oatmeal cookies and I want Justin to use it cause that would smell right and I like the oak tree thing as well, but also I want Justin to smell like Autumn, that cold and clean smell, with a hint of dirt and burning leaves. And yeah - he can't ever remember to put on cologne and hell, he doesn't need it.

but Justin is so the type to use other people's shampoo's, isn't he? Because he's firm about what matters to him, but those things just don't... Not stylish clothes and soaps and such. They just get in the way, man. They're just background noise.

Yes! And that is such a Justin thing to do - and his smell is fluid, yet stable - so it can support the odd floral notes.

Oh see and Daphne would be all - "Dude get your own shampoo" and he will still use hers and finally she will break down and buy him some. Cause he is so cute. And Daphne wants his hair to smell like oatmeal cookies.
