So I was gonna try, honestly I was. I tried to not see these guys as nothing more than a piece of meat. Actually, I like them for more than their bodies and general-nakedness, but is is just so easy for me to appreciate the bodies and the nekkidity that I kinda just, y'know, gravitate toward the shiny naked men. Nothing personal. It's my thing.

Again, I tried. I held the can of tomato sauce in my hand and I was gonna write about how the sauce found the dough getting kneaded by a Twinkie in the pantry and ran off with a box of Ziti, but...eh, I'm not cut out to be good. Food slash is not me. I want to see some hot-action.

Speaking of hot action (hee)- New QaF vid has been posted to Headtilt. This one is heavy on season 3 spoilers and is actually [livejournal.com profile] drdawn's baby more than mine. So, since I know for a fact that a bunch of you (well, [livejournal.com profile] mintwitch and [livejournal.com profile] kitkatbyte) have not seen season 3, Vid info behind the cut tag

So - Dawn and I are watching 2x15 "Rage" and Brian becomes a comic-book superhero and Dawn says, "What's next? Is Brian gonna start fighting crime?"

And. Um. He did.

No one was more surprised then me. Hell, 3x13 "Sticking Point" looked like a fucking episode of Homicide: Life on the Streets. Well parts of it did. At least, the two eps of Homicide that I have seen.

Let's get one thing straight. This vid - entirely Dawn's idea. Entirely. She actually had to wait until I was drunk after a party to get me on board. Of course, once I was on board it went from bad to worse.

This entire vid is pretty much an exercise in tastelessness. And that I think Brian is Batman. And Justin is Robin. It's gotta be the car. That and the fighting of crime.

Let's get another thing straight: I hate Toby Keith. I love Willie Nelson, but I hate Toby Keith. That being said, I do not think ole Toby has a fucking clue what he is singing. Willie, Willie has a clue and eventually I will vid every duet he has ever done. But Toby - pretty much one with the clueless.

I tried to explain this vid at Vividcon last weekend and I think I rambled more there than I did here, so bear with me.

Song: Beer for My Men, Whiskey for My Horses
Artists: Willie Nelson and Toby Keith
Vidded by Dawn and me

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mrmonkeybottoms for the iconage. ::Smooch:: It's my new theme.

ETA: - oh yeah - this vid is rated R so don't download if you are under 18, kay? Or you will go to hell. Don't blame me. I don't make the rules. I don't think children should go to hell.

ETA 2: Oh yeah - this is why I was running around sing "Well, Justin is the one thing you can always find, you gotta saddle up your boys, you gotta draw a hard line."

Oh man, that was fucking awesome. Brian and Justin are totally Batman and Robin. And Brian is also Jesus, which I see you touched on as well. Whoo, that got me all hyped up. I wanna go fight some crime and drink some whiskey. And fucking some Justin would also be good. I love you guys.

Thank you. I'm still twitchy but I think I'm gonna read some more Desert stuff and sleep now.

Woo Hoo - ya got the Jesus stuff - Dawn will be thrilled.

You two are my heroes for today. I had to listen to country music non-stop for a 4 hour car ride today, and it tends to annoy me. Now I'll never look at it the same way.

eeee! The BrianMobile! *loves*

I have ridiculous adoration for Season 3, and this was exactly the sort of vid that I was dying for someone to make.

Loved the mirroring opening shots (er, I'm not explaining this well, but I think you know what I mean. heh.) That's a big button for me in vidding. Looooove it.

And the clinking of glasses! And the Liberty Family Line!

Very well chosen clips.

Okay, clearly, my resisting is futile, and I need to give into the QaF temptation - to that end, I'll have you know I'm downloading episodes off Kazaa right now. This is your fault.

That said, this video? Unbelievable. Fun like a fun thing. I don't watch the show and it sucked me in enough to make me want to devote valuable hard drive space to these two pretty pretty men and their Batman and Robin-esque exploits. Guh.

Damn you and your seductive shiny-naked-man-videos. *g*

Good country is one thing, what passes as pop-country now-a-days is another entirely. I tend to really dislike the song we vidded due to what I feel is a red-neck simplified and somewhat underhanded racist POV. However - viewing the lyrics a bit differently from my initial impression - I see that it is all about the hot gay love and Brian fighting crime.

Dawn has been wanting to vid the crucifixtion poses since 3x14 aired. Oh - Liberty Family Line was my contribution (I decided to class up the vid).

Thanks so much for letting me know you liked it.

Yes - join us in shiny naked man devotion. It's fun and exciting.

Of course seasons 1-2 are not about Batman and Robin so much as the puretruelove, but it is all just for basis of the Batman and Robin thing that will happen later.

Just watched it again when I woke up this morning- I think it's going to be joining my rotation of videos to obsessively rewatch. It kind of reminds me of the Angel Cowboy video in the sheer fun superhero-ness of it all. I think the "saddle up your men" part with the orange sex is my favorite part- tasteless though it may be. Hee. Love love love it.

I wish it was possible to convert images from stories to video form, cause I really wanna make a video to Ooh, Las Vegas by Gram Parsons (speaking of country songs) for the Las Vegas portion of Maps and Legends. I can picture it sooooo clearly, it's making me buggy. I suppose you don't know how to psychically transmit images onto your computer, eh? Well, anyway, the rest of the story should be up tonight. I finished the last fucking paragraph!

Dude - fanfic videos! I wish. I had this great Spike/Xander vid all planned out to the Talking Heads "Burning Down the House" and then I realized that the majority of the footage I wanted to use did not exist in reality - just in my head as a result of reading Juliatheyounger's "We're Not Gay..." I was devastated.

I now think that "Burning Down the House" is about Emmet and Dawn thinks I am on crack, but hey - she is really one to talk since Whiskey was her idea.

There has been discussion and plotting going on for a while re: the usage of After Effects to achieve Spike/Xander hooking up (the holy grail as it were) but since that is not an issue with QaF, AE isn't really much help. However - if season 4 entails a road trip to Vegas, I can make the vid happen. Mainly because I am convinced that what happened in Maps and Legends in Vegas is actually what would happen if the show went there - for there is no other possible outcome.

Did I mention I am still twitching?

That was a fantastic vid! I haven't even seen Season 2, I don't know anything but the vaguest storylines for Season 3 (I've read reactions to episodes in lj entries) and I still thought it was cool. I can't wait to rewatch it once I know what's going on.

If I had like, a zillion dollars, I would totally hire out these actors to film scenes for me and then send them to you to make videos out of. That would rule.

I can't believe they haven't gone to Vegas yet on the show, cause Brian is just a severe gambling problem waiting to happen.

Now if we could only find someway to turn the rest of those songs into hot gay love...

Brian is like every severe problem/addiction you could have just waiting to happen. Yet, he is no Ted.

Even when Brian is out of control he is so very tightly in control that I love it when things get just beyond his reach. Brian is a bigger control freak than Angel. See - Justin didn't have to tie him up and gag him to get him beyond that - just peyote. But there are going to be severe repercussions - aren't there? Although, how severe can they be - when put in perspective? Brian isn't going to lose his soul after all...or is he??

I love it when you road trip.

It's so fab that I sat on my ass today and watched 4 episodes back to back and then watched the video a few more times. It really is like crack. Wonderful gay sex crack.

This vid *made* my day. It was looking gloomy and spirits were down, but then in the horizon the glorious light of headtilt and Brian Kinney burst through the gray and shone rays of hope upon my face.

Yes, I am insane. But I'm an insane chick who adores all the videos you two produce.

I didn't even know it was possible to exploit Brian Kinney. It's rather in the spirit of things though, isn't it?

Brian and Angel want to be exploited. I feel we are providing a necessary service and I retract all previous statements about respect. I do respect their minds of course, but I just tend to focus on the bodies. Not my fault - if they didn't want me to look then they wouldn't be all shiny.

And thanks - I'm glad you liked the vid.

Season 2 and 3 - stuff happens and Brian fights crime. His motivation is either Justin or the fact that they closed the back room at Babylon. It is anyone's guess really.

I keep going to the site and clicking like a mad woman on the chapters that aren't up.

While in college, we studied these monkeys addicted to cocaine and they would learn to bar press for drugs. They hit the bar enough - they got cocaine. The trick was to make the cocaine come at random intervels. The monkeys never knew how many bar presses it would take. If you stopped giving them cocaine, the monkeys would still bar press. They would give up opportunities to eat and fuck in favor of bar pressing. Eventually the monkeys died bar pressing.

I am still clicking on the last 2 chapter links. The similarities are frightening, no?

Why they gotta do that shit to those poor monkeys, anyway? That is so sad...

I think it was so we would know that coke is addictive. Cause otherwise, we would probably just give it to toddlers or something. At least it wasn't chimps. Man, they gotta leave the chimps alone.

I had to work at some animal labs in college (Psych major with an emphasis on Bio and animal science minor)- mainly only the rat lab cause I kinda went a little nuts after seeing the cats. I socialized rat pups. That was fun - except they bite when tickled - but they like to be tickled. It was always a catch-22 with the rat pups. I was just relieved to never had to see the kitties again. Or the dogs. I never actually saw the primates (because of security), but I knew they were there. See what horrible memories I dredge up when I'm bar pressing? I told ya it wouldn't be pretty if I had to stop reading this. Poor kitties and puppies.

Wait, cocaine is addictive? Whoa. No wonder I've been twitching since 1994.

I couldn't deal with seeing kitties getting experimented on. I think I'd probably kill myself.

I'm not sure if I ever feedbacked you on this or not--but I watched it again tonight (okay, like, three times) and was again stunned. :) My favorite bits are the first "you gotta saddle up your boys, you gotta draw a hard line" and the second to last "whiskey for my man," where Brian grabs Justin so decisively on "my man." I also love the Christ stances at the beginning. This is brilliant! :)
