I woke up feeling worse than I did last night. I called in to work. There were important commitments I had today, appointments that needed to be kept, but I really could care less right now. I'll care about it tomorrow. Damage control has to begin somewhere, right?

I did just drag myself to the store, but I only got the bare minimum of food required to keep the kid alive. And Gatorade. Now I'm exhausted and I'm gonna take another nap.

Dragging yourself to the store so your nephew wouldn't die shows great stamina, fortitude, and love. ;) I actually mean that without the sarcasm, too. I had to go to the grocery store last night and it nearly killed me--and I'm not at all ill. But, then, I wasn't responsible for feeding anyone I loved, just someone I care about as a friend. Not as strong a motivation, let me tell you. I hope you feel better soon!

The boy was sweet tonight. He cooked his special supper (canned green beans, mac-n-cheese, and fish sticks) and probably did his homework. He said he did his homework. Dawn's kid wouldn't lie, right?

Not to criticize the boy's finely honed culinary palette, but I can't get behind the canned green beens. As I've said before, if you can't go fresh, at least go frozen with 9 out of 10 vegetables, definitely including green beans (although peas are where I really draw the line). Other than that minor factor, it sounds like a delightful meal. And since I (ever so slightly) criticized his special supper, I'm gonna have to go with all out faith in the homework being done as a show of support.

Hee. I had broccoli in the freezer, but he wanted the canned green beans. I actually fed mine to the dog (Sidwick can't get enough of the canned veggies - strange pooch) but I told the kid they were delicious. I was just proud that something kinda green was available tonight.

Aw, sweetie. I know intimately the pain of going to the store when you feel like crap. You'll be rewarded in Heaven. I think. You should be.

If I were there we could watch the cancer arc together, particularly 'Redux', 'Zero Sum', and 'Gethsemane'. Wait, also 'Memento Mori' and 'Unruhe' and 'Irresistible'. That ought to keep us busy. I'll also bring ice cream.

Oh - no they deleted a real honest-to-God kiss on the lips. It never aired but the footage exists. I used to have it on my hard drive but then my computer was stolen - I'll go look for it again.
