Dear ~~Greensilver~~ Festividder:

So, you have just gotten you assignment and you see that you've matched with me and now you have come to my LJ to see who I am and kinda what I am about and oh god.

I am so very very sorry. Dear Festividder -- I am kind of an assignment curse. No seriously -- there have been three defaults on me in the past two festivids and, well Dear Festividder, there have only been two years of this to date. All is not lost --- if we matched on a fandom you already have an idea for, quickly, with much haste, GO NOW and make that vid. Do not worry about what I want or even if the vid is everything it can be. Make the vid and upload it and maybe just maybe your life will not implode. If it does implode, I understand. Shit happens. But just the fact that you made me a vid and it was to one of the following fandoms, well -- you will make me a very happy festividder, dear festividder.

And if all else fails,

greensilver will make me a vid. She swears she won't this year but I have learned in the past two festivids that greensilver lies. She lies and she makes awesome pinch hit vids. She says she needs a break from my requests and the 80s in general so IDEK. If you are not like greensilver and are not sick of the 80s (and 90s! Fresh Prince!) and are interested in perhaps making a treat -- awesome.

A bit about me: I am excitable and tend to get really really happy when other people like the thing that I like. I also have no real squicks and I tend to really like violence but also fluffy bunnies and in the end? Violent Fluffy Bunnies. Yes.

It is really hard to offend me or gross me out but you can try! I will respect you for it! I loves the slash but I can get on board for the het as well and just... deep down I am kinda a smushy romantic and I just want everyone to be happy. Even if that happiness means that they can't be legally wed anywhere but Tennessee (hint- this is the year I went all out on the Cousins-Slash. I considered making it a hat trick and adding in the Duke Boys, but I was also worried about John Schneider becoming this years Patron Saint of Festivids and what with Bruce Willis the first year and Patrick Swayze last year, we've had a really nice run of things and I'd hate to be responsible for fucking that up. Tom Wopat, however, would be a lovely Patron Saint, so maybe I have mispoken?)

My musical tastes vary wildly and I am pretty much on board for everything. I am not even exaggerating. You can ask other people if you don't believe me. I like it all. You will not pick a song I dispise and if you do? I will learn to like it. I am a determined little fucker and I can do that if I want to do that. And I want to do that. I really really want to.

The Bionic Woman -1976: When I said that anything you could possibly make for me in this fandom would be wonderful, I was not joking. I will not be disappointed. ANYTHING! I just… okay, this is the year that I admit that most of my repeat requests are for fandoms that I love too much to vid.

Bosom Buddies – dude, something Kip/Henry would be wonderful. Just, there are kids today? Who have never heard of Bosom Buddies and have NO IDEA about the intro and the Billy Joel and just stuff. Also, if you have the dvds like I do, then you know that they couldn’t get the rights to the original theme song and it makes me sad. It makes me so very very sad and you, dear festividder, you could fix all of that sadness and all it would take would be noting, via vid format, that once upon a time Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari were very very painfully young, and they dressed in drag and they shared a very small bed. On a weekly basis.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: I want a Carlton vid. Or a Will vid. Or a Carlton/Will vid of EPICNESS. I do not care that they are first cousins, this is fandom – that barely counts as incest and only in, like, half of the continental states.

Rocky Series: Okay – just… anything in this series will make me cry (you are welcometo ignore Rocky 5 if necessary). I still have hopes that there one day will be Rocky/Apollo slash, but it is very very possible that I am the only person who even sees this and if that is the case, then carryon. Nothing to see here. If you perchance see it the way I see it? Hold me.

Friday the 13^th The Series: Dear Festividder, as I already shared with you: I am a Ryan-Girl and I was always a Ryan-Girl and there was a time in the very distant, distant past, where I would sneak and watch this television show late late at night after everyone in my house went to sleep and it was all because Ryan DID THINGS to my heart. Also, the show was kinda scary. Also, I would ship Micki and Ryan and worry about reading the show wrong, because surely that was not what they were feeding me, right? I mean – they were cousins! Except that was exactly what the show was feeding me and as I said above, cousins is barely even incest anymore in these here fannish parts so a Micki/Ryan vid? Would possibly make me pass out in the street.

A Different World: Okay, so I am accepting that most of the show is not available on DVD and a Dwayne Wayne Epic vid of Epicness is not (yet) possible. This is the sound of me accepting that. I have accepted it. I am a reasonable woman, Dear Festividder. It does occur to me, however, with Season 1 available on DVD that a Whitley/Denise vid would be…. amazing. Just. Think about it: super young Jasmine Guy/Lisa Bonet frenemy slash. Yes, Dear Festividder, I know. That was the sound of your brain exploding. I heard it right after the sound of my acceptance. You are welcome. I am somewhat brilliant and good at this. I also know that perhaps the source won’t cooperate and here is the part where I assure you – A Different World was my favorite show for years and years and I expected college would be JUST like this. I would love anything from this show. Even Sinbad. Yeah. I can’t help it – he was a good RA.

The Legend of Billie Jean: So yeah. Wetsuits=Empowerment. Pretty much all I get out of this movie and really? All I need. If you wanted to go one better and use this movie to FIX Supergirl? Knock yourself out – I don’t know if it will work within the Festivid Rules (is outside source acceptable if the recipient is cool with it? Cause I am so cool with outside source, I am like Fonzie) but I will be cheering for you like a crazy cheering thing, so there is always that.
