You know what is nice? Having renenet and heres_luck back in the country. Welcome back, I hope ya'll had a fabulous trip and you have been missed!!!

My world feels a bit more even all of a sudden. Good. Now I have to go figure out what I don't want the movers to pack and walk the dog and live in denial that I will be without internet access from Friday afternoon until Tuesday night. The Horror!!!

Jeez, all we do is leave the country for a couple of weeks and you and Dawn try to up and move on us! But you weren't fast enough. Ha! We came back before you could escape. (In other words, aww, you missed us! That's so sweet!)

Speaking of the move...congratulations on your new job, which ensures the continued domestic tranquility of your little household. Do you guys need help moving in this weekend? Say the word and I am there. Well, you'll have to give me five or six hours to get there, but still. Once you're in a state which is contiguous with my own, I consider that you're practically in my back yard.

Yes, you're woefully far away. 'Tis a pity. Work hard enough now, though, and perhaps you could come visit me in July. I have a birtday then, you know. And then you'd be in a contiguous state. We could road trip to Kentucky together. There could be music and gorp (if you made some) and funny signs along the road. I'm just sayin'.

Okay - a big no to your first visit being one of indentured servitude. We'll be fine, Lexington is practically swimming with cousins and family friends. I am extremely excited by the prospect of a visit from you so there is a big hell-yeah to that. Anytime. You just show up. And then we have the big fun.

Right. The big fun. I'm so there. I'm penciling it into my calendar for as soon as you kids get settled in.

Hmmm...if it wouldn't work too much to the detriment of here's luck's important dissertation work this summer, perhaps I can entice her to come and visit me and the two of us can make a jaunt south during part of that time. It could be for my birthday (loosely defined as whenever in July we can manage to work in the big fun). Not that I want to ruin the Shock and Awe of our meeting at VividCon or anything...I'm just thinking out loud here...
