Dear Festividder: El Dos

Dear Festividder,
I am so thrilled you are here, finally! It feels like forever waiting on our assignments, does it not? And now you have yours and it is me and I am really really hoping I don't suck as an assignment. I am also trying to tone down my natural exuberance about all this as last year I credit my Dear Festividder Letter with breaking not one vidder, but two. I was single handedly on the receiving end of about 1/3 of the total amount of defaults, last year. It ended up being actually incredible as the pinch hits I received were amazing vids and have made people cry AND fall for Bruce Willis. So, no pity, just general Dear Festividder Letter angst. Please do not think this in any way impedes my excitement for what you are about to do or that I am difficult to please. Nothing could be further from the truth - just the fact that we even MATCHED makes me kinda giddy but since I don't want to scare you away, I will be over here, sitting quietly and not making any sudden movements.
1. The Bionic Woman - 1976 (TV)
This show is responsible for the fact that as a child I never ever once ran or jumped or did anything even remotely physical without making an "eh eh eh eh ehhhhh" sound as I did it. Now, I am a responsible adult who makes responsible adultlike decisions and is all responsible about it all and yet... in my head? I still make those "eh eh eh eh" sounds when I run. Any vid at all would be awesome. A Jaime Sommers is awesome vid? I'd falll over dead from happiness. A "Hidden Memory" Jaime/Steve lovefest? Willl make me cry. A serious character study of the person Jaime was and the person she came to be? Seriously, it is all amazing and good and the world needs Bionic Woman vids.
2. Bosom Buddies (TV)
If we matched on this? Then we are pretty much done talking about what I want in a Bosom Buddies vid and all that remains if for you to unleash this onto the world. If you know the show and you offered to vid this for festivids, then I assume we are as one here. (Pssst I am talking about Kip/Henry -- OMG do you know that there are kids in fandom today who have never heard of Bosom Buddies???? IT IS JUST CRAZY! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!)
3. Dragonslayer (Movie and Safety)
When I was a little kid my parents loaded up all the kids in the car and took us to the drive in for a double feature. This was a big deal because we didn't go to the movies a lot and going to the movies was my favorite thing to do (seriously, I can name off in order every movie I saw in the theater until 1986). Dragonslayer was the first movie that night and it blew me away and possibly shaped the person I became. There was a fairly decent movie that followed it, you probably heard about it "Raiders of the Lost Ark?" But for me, that night was all about Dragonslayer. OMG. Just... Human sacrifice and cross dressing and virgins! and and and DRAGONS! And (spoiler alert) baaaaaby dragons!
4. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (TV)
Okay? Ready? Here we go: "Now this is the story all about how my life got twisted, turned upside down..."
Go head. Finish up. I'll wait. Back? Hey festividder, that was some good 90s times, am I right? So a good vid should just naturally be an extension of that, right? So there is no way to really screw this up - at least not with me, so kick back and have some Will Smith fun. Now, if you want to get a bit ambitious, I'd love a Will/Carleton vid. It doesn't even have to be incesty (although do cousins even count in the fandom incest Olympics?). Bonus for as many Carlton dances as possible.
5. The Invisible Man -2000 (TV)
This is my only recycled request from last year and I still stand by it, defaults be damned. Bobby/Darien can't be denied. They can't even be delayed. Well, they can be delayed but the BANTER, DEAR GOD THE BANTER that will result.!
6. The Legend of Billie Jean (Movie and safety)
I might have had a lifelong "thing" for Superman, I admit this freely, I also might have been really excited about the Supergirl movie when I was a kid and yet when I actually saw the movie... Well, you've seen it, right? I mean, I loved it an all but I was ten and my critical faculties had developed enough by then that I knew it was still pretty much shit. And yet it was Supergirl! I was torn and then one summer morning I was watching HBO at my grandmother's house and there was SUPERGIRL and she was fighting authority and cutting her hair and wearing a wet suit and being a rebel leader and stull. That was what the Supergirl movie had been missing all this time. So, yeah. Celebrate youth and hotness and Christian Slater as the bullied little brother. What more can a gal want? Well, besides a Supergirl that doesn't suck?
7. Rocky Series (movie)
So, I have a desire for a Rocky/Apollo vid. C'mon! You know you see it! Okay, if you can't go there due to Adrian issues, I respect that -- in fact a Rocky character study or even a focus on Rocky as defined by his relationship with Adrian vid will make the masses break down and weep.
8. Youngblood (Movie and safety)
So. Yeah. You've seen the movie? Good. Vid that. Bonus for Rob Lowe in the jockstrap and you know - just hot sweaty naked dudes playing hockey and beating on each other and being all hot and sweaty and homoerotic. You have Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze in love, here. You are welcome.
PS: I love Keanu Reeves almost as much as I love Superman. Background Keanu could start a trend!!!

I've thought a lot about it and I don't think I'll do music requests --- basically I like everything. I really kinda do. Do what feels right? I mean I'd go with silly Arena Rock Anthem's for a Rocky/Apollo vid but actually? A Silly Rock Anthem would work for all the vids I've ever wanted. Seriously, I am easy peasy to please. Please have fun and be happy and I swear I am not scary and I am so fricking excited that you are making this vid for me that I am not even cussing! I also have no triggers or violence issues with vids and no major squicks that I can think of. You are the best person for this vid, festividder and thank you so much for doing this. You are awesome!!!
