Well, I'm a lot calmer now. I also feel fairly silly for the dramatics I put on earlier tonight. I admit I was a little carried away - but I was very upset - apparently a lot more than I realized. I think a lot of it had to do with the vidding woes of this weekend. Between Premiere consistently freezing and creative freeze-ups (see there is this freeze theme going on in my life)I was becoming convinced I will never complete a vid again. Then I see a vid that has my vid in it and I panicked.

I had to file "Mission Temple Fireworks Stand" -it is really causing problems - I can't even get a completed version one at this time. I'll pull it out in 2 weeks. I couldn't figure out where to begin with "Closer" - so much slash, such little time in crossovers. I've abandoned my "Buffy in Love" vid - cause, guess what? She ain't. Maybe she will be be one day - but she's not feelin' it now. Plus, everytime I got to the line "a fallen angel, with your wings set alight" and I was supposed to apply it to Spike I got alternately tickled and skeeved. Neither of those emotions are what I want to elicit with that vid. So - filing it. Maybe I'll pull it out one day. I liked a coupla moments - just not the "fallen angel" moments *snerk*.

I started another vid tonight - one that I'm not reaching to make. Also, I have a clear idea of the bridge and intro - so I'm vidding those first which is nice for a change. So I can still do this. Whew. Good.

I also talked to Mom and she totally spoiled me for Angel. I went for months not being spoiled and I make one crack about Cordelia tonight and Mom's all - "Now why did she come back with amnesia?" Mom - Angel doesn't air until midnight here.

The Tropicana - hee. My cousin used to have a show there when I was really young. I remember it was The Tropicana 'cause that was the kind of OJ I drank. He's at the Monte Carlo now. Anyone goes and meets Lance Burton, tell him you know Rhonda's kids. I didn't know that his previous gig was evil.

Sorry bout the spoilage from mom! That sucks.

Don't sweat crossover stuff for Closer. Edit shots ambiguously, or think Golden Years vicariousness, it's all good.

And esp. don't apologize for the rant re people stealing your stuff. They should be lined up like lame ducks and shot. It's unacceptable in any creative medium to plagarize.

I'm actually really okay with finishing "Closer" - I just had this moment of "I will never vid again" panic - now all is good. I do want another cross-over ep - just so I can have 2 souled vamps on the same screen -kinda like ambiguously not evil bookends.

Oh - BTW - IMO - Wesley will never be as skanky as season 6 Spike. That man threw off serious pimpdaddy vibes. But Wes was fairly skanky last night. Dawn of course thought he was sweet. She is so messed up. She is also attracted to James Garner and Kid Rock, especially together.

Plagiarism is not okay, under any circumstances. It's called ethics, people! I'm really sorry, Sisabet. that just sucks. I can't imagine the time and energy that you put into your vids, since I just sit back and watch. But I sympathize. And I know you'll get your mojo back, with a vengeance. -saussy

Oh man, i'm so excited. I haven't tried to set it up yet, but i will asap. maybe tonight. i'm hoping it's not too complicated. i really appreciate the encouragement.-saussy

and a random comment from out of the blue (got here from ~heres_luck): I went to see Lance Burton on my prom night, way back when. Vegas prom tradition, you put in a brief appearance at the actual dance (in a corner of the convention center) and then you spend the rest of the night on the strip. And Lance Burton was our show of choice; didn't disappoint, we had a good time. Much better then the panic about the most minor of fender benders (damage-less, thank god!) in the *so* borrowed BMW afterwards, lemme tell you!

Wow - people go to see Lance instead of Prom? That is way cool. I wish I had a Vegas Prom. The grand tradition at my high school was to skip out early and see which party could get busted quickest at the local rundown motel. Also - skinny-dipping at the lake. I so don't recommend skinny dipping at the lake.

yep, "bright side" was my first (and hopefully not last!) effort with Video Factory. 'twas fun to do, so I'm glad other people are enjoying it too!

and I'll *definitely* take your word on the skinny dipping at the lake!

Sorry I spoiled Angel for you. But I just wanted to know what was going on.....remember I don't get to watch Angel very much....usually on the road picking up a band member.....and yes, my darling daughter I know how much you dislike confrontation....unless some poor salesperson at Famous Barr is giving your mom a hard time about returning some slipcovers and wanting her money back then and not being sent in a check three weeks later....no, it wasn't the salesperson you went off on (you felt sorry for her-after all she had to work there) it was the manager she ran to get....he was wrong, it wasn't posted...and you showed him....proud of you, girl....also very proud of your vids...and if someone is stealing from them, then shame on them...if anyone reading this sees a vid someone stole from my daughter then email that person and let them know you know it was stolen... and so you know they are a thief....wonder what else they steal....just a thought....give my grandson a hug.... love to all...mom
