Sunday Night Procrastinations

The other night,  Cappy and I were walking through Barnes and Noble when we both gasped: there, on a rack, was a brand new issue of Batgirl.  We both grabbed a copy and flipped through before one of us called out that it wasn't Cassandra Cain, it was Spoiler. Which... yeah, I love Stephanie Brown and I am glad she isn't dead and I adore Stephanie/Cass and at one point wanted to vid it.  But, I still kind of feel DC fucked up my favorite character and am waiting eagerly for the return of Cassandra as my Batgirl of few words and necessary atonement.

But - while flipping we saw THE RETURN OF SUPERBOY.

I... OMG, I had no idea. And so, doing research it looks like Connor Kent/Kon-el* is back and in a very complicated fashion but not NEARLY as complicated as how they brought back Bart Allen.  Cause, not only were they both dead, but Bart was dead and an ADULT (which was soooo fucked up y'all).

So, if anyone has scans or links to Tim/Kon/Bart reunion *anything* I will totally be like, so happy. 

Tonight I had the following conversation with Cappy as she watched "To Catch A Predator" and I surfed kind of aimlessly online looking for purpose and ignoring my Burn Notice vid:

Me: Should I read Arthur/Merlin fic?

Cappy: Yes! And if it gets weird,  just pretend it's Lex/Clark.

Me: Like an AU! Wait, do Arthur and Merlin have a canonical love child?

Cappy: I don't know, I'm not good with history.



*and apparently he still has his daddy issues! Daddies Issues? Clark/Lex issues!

It looks like Tim and Kon aren't going to officially reunite until Adventure Comics #3 (http://www.dccomics.com/dcu/comics/?cm=13207), which is out Oct. 14th.

I ran across this post on the friends page of someone I don't know and it made me cry with joy. I'm an oldschool(ish) girl, was obsessed with Young Justice, didn't have the money for Teen Titans anymore and sort of just peeked in from the sidelines. Last time I picked anything up with Bart in it he was at a Bar drinking and all grown up and it made me sad because he just wasn't Bart anymore.. and I heard about Kon's demise and decided I was done peeking in.

SO Yay!! Im superglad I found this post, it does however mean that now I have to go read all backstory from YJ on and catch up to current times. If I can find them somewhere...

Also yes... Arthur/Merlin fic is win!

Dude, not only did they kill off Kon and *rapidly* age Bart to, like, a 20-something, they gave Bart a serious girlfriend and then?? Had him brutally, completely horribly, killed. This was like 5 or 7 issues into his solo Flash title. At this point I decided, Blue Beetle or no Blue Beetle and Jaime Reyes notwithstanding, I should just stay out of comic book stores. Well, that and Cassandra Cain was now in charge of the League of Assassins or was just drugged by Deathstroke and used as his pawn (??) so, whatever.

It seems like DC is attempting to reverse Infinite Crisis and one year later. Which, kinda sucks as I am saving a ton of money right now...
