I've also re-uploaded all my premiere vids from last year, so if anyone needs a downloadable copy of Get Low, Here it Goes Again, or Use It go here and you'll get a link to the correct posts. I hope.

Feedback is always appreciated.

to tell you how much I loved this -- but wow, it was one of the highlights of the con for me.

YAY YAY YAY OMG I LOVE THIS VID SO MUCH!!! This was the vid of the con for me. It's just breathtaking. I often had a difficult time connecting to Cameron on the show, and you just pulled me right into her psyche and held me there.

Gorgeous. Epic. Amazing.

P. liked it too, BTW.

I am so glad the vid worked for you! I was blown away by the second season of the show and just couldn't stop thinking about that strangely sad, broken robot. And Alison. And John. And stuff.

S2 was amazing, wasn't it?

Alison! OMG! <3

I have a John vid idea...

I know I flailed at you about the vid after the show (hands! fragments! broken!), and I swear I will try to post articulate thinky thoughts about it at some point, but for now this is just a placeholder to say that this was one of my two favorite vids of the con (the other being "Land"... I'm sensing a theme here...), and I love it not just because it is awesome but because it's making me think differently about a couple of my upcoming vid projects... just like "Closer" changed the direction of "Superstar" lo these many years ago.

I love learning from you.

I spend a lot of time speccing out, configuring, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, and otherwise peering under the hood of computers. This vid let me see through Cameron's eyes and feel what it would be like to be a multi-cored organism, multi-processing and context-switching my way through life.

Loved it. Most excellent and fabulously crafted.

I saw this at VVC, and I was fascinated. I loved how the effects were used to simulate Cameron's perceptions of the world, as well as her separation from it. Something I like to see: fx used in SUPPORT of the emotional-throughline and characterization. They should not always be mutually exclusive!

It's also one of those cases where a cover version of a well-known song can work for the vid, rather than against, the latter of which often seems to happen. I'd not heard this version before, but it works incredibly well.

...wow. I *love* this: the intersection of Allison the human and Cameron the machine, and the blurring that ends up happening between the two--is it a malfunction, is it evolution, or is it some kind of hybridization? Your clip choices (and, of course, how you edited them together) raise the possibilities very skillfully.

The way you used the grids to make kind of a collage of identity at various moments--and then, often, focusing in on one piece of the collage, bringing it into focus and then forward as the dominant element--is just *so* *nifty*.

So, again: *wow*. I like this *very* much.

I really love this one, I keep rewatching it and noticing different things, and different ways the music combines with the footage use and... I just really love it.

this is spectacular! the splitscreens impress technically and you used them so effectively. I love how the song turns Cameron into a super-earnest emo dyke (John too)!

I told you this at the con, but it's just masterful the way you construct an authentic-feeling Cameron POV here using repeated motion, inset clips, and the whole on-beatness of it all. That POV construction makes the larger themes of the vid so much more effective. Also, on a purely aesthetic level, your composition is just *amazing*.

I still don't know how you made this masterpiece, but hey, you did it so the rest of us don't have to. I am so very impressed by everything about this vid, from the tech to the connections to the beauty of a vid that could easily feel not fluid with the disjointed visuals. I really enjoyed this! ♥

Cameron was my favorite part of the series, and you certainly did her justice here. It felt like Cameron-- her alienness, her confusion, the tragedy of her. Excellent song choice. I loved the split screens (so much information she's processing all at once!) and the clips you chose to pair together.

wow! I love how we're immersed through Cameron's pov, both technically and through the amazing storytelling; loved the way we see Allison both from a very alien pov and in the way she merges with Cameron, the way the lyrics about speaking but not hearing the words bring us to John and Riley; and in general the way you articulate Cameron and John's relationship. Wonderful vid

This was really compelling. I think the framing device was a very cool idea and was a great match for a Cameron pov vid. Awesome job!

What an amazing vid. I was never as interested in Cameron as in Sarah and John, but you made her so compelling and emphasized what an Other she is. (Plus it made me realize yet again how fantastic Summer Glau is in this role, and in differentiating Cameron from Allison.)

Belated comment is belated. But I just wanted to say that this is definitely one of the best vids I have ever seen of Cameron-- the song choice is perfect, you really get under her skin, and I love the way you split up the screen into sections like that-- I felt like I was inside her computer consciousness, trying to process multiple things at once.
