This vid took longer to exist than... well than a lot of others and I still can't really look at Joe Flanigan without kinda seeing a squirrel. Life is hard. I don't see squirrel at all, actually. Squirrels have very large eyes and rather static faces, so how does JF seem like a squirrel to you?

One of the functions of vids is to make a visual argument, to bring together images you hadn't really noticed in that way. I don't know if it's your cutting or the rhythm of the music or what, but I never realized before how when John is polishing his golf club while talking to Rodney it looks exactly, *exactly* like masturbation. Not "kind of like", but "exactly like", "how could they not have noticed how exactly like". I felt kind of embarrassed, as though I'd stumbled on someone's personal home-made porn.

I'm not sure what the overall "argument" of this vid is -- is that because I don't know the song & the lyrics are most unintelligible to me? Or is it all about visual connections? Your cutting is brilliant, btw. And I too already felt the lack of PandaShirt!John.

Yes! The golf-clubs are totally porn and I was trying to use them in that way. I don't know that there is an "argument" to the vid? I was just looking for a John/Rodney vid one day that did something specific that I wanted at the time and I couldn't find it so I said, "Self, how hard can it be? Make your own damn vid."

Then I realized why SGA is hard to vid and I don't particularly do well with light and fluffy and cute sometimes.

Well, you certainly succeeded. It's kind of embarrassing, even, like I barged into his room without knocking while he was having some Alone Time, jeez, can't a guy get a little *privacy*. I think it's because the scene is dark (I don't know if you darkened the clips) and the cloth is so white, it's easy to not even notice the golf club and just see John sitting there, rub-rub-rubbing the cloth on his crotch. @.@

With all the angst floating about recently, it's nice to see a vid that reminds me off all the fluffy love I have for this show and this pairing! OMG, Love! I'm sure I missed half of it with the giggling so much, so I will have to watch over and over.

Oh, boys. I've stopped watching SGA this last season because -- this is sadly true -- I've been falling asleep before the show even airs, and I figure there are plenty of places for me to catch up eventually. And not watching has meant, well, out of sight, out of mind. But this vid reminds me how appealing I find the SGA characters inherently, McShep in particular: they're funny and strange and devoted and smart (well, as smart as characters get in the Stargate universe *g*).
