So, I finished the Lilah vid and decided (after discussing it with drdawn) to post it to the main site - no "secret" URL or such rigamarole. This has nothing to do with my inherant laziness or having to answer individual emails with the addy if I put it on another page. Not at all. This is so kita0610 can send whomever she wants to get it just by saying -"it's at headtilt.com." Simplifying kita's life... that is enough reason, in and of itself.

I haven't had this much fun vidding since "Cowboy." The fact that the vids I most enjoyed making feature songs by Kid Rock and Eminem is not lost upon me... I will be reflecting quietly upon my white trash ways today and tonight heading out to the monster truck rally. Actually, I have never been to a monster truck rally. I have been to tractor pulls, demolition derbys(derbies?) and the dirt track. You ain't lived 'til ya been to the dirt track on a Saturday night. I don't feel the rodeo should count here cause anything with livestock is all upscale and classy. Like the circus.

Thanks to sockkpuppett for beta-ing and assuring me that "cause I like it there" is reason enough to keep a sequence.

I love the body drop during the "mew". So subtle and funny. And of course, her non-cooperation with the doctor just before he operates. Love the wiggle of Angel's fingers over Lilah's head to the beat of the batman theme. And hee to the "my two cents is free"! Clever stuff, beautifully done.

P.S. I just watched Cowboy for the first time, too. WOW! Holy crap! It's awesome, too. Beautiful. Masterful. And wicked fun! *G* *applauds*

That rocked like a rocking thing. Loved how you matched so many movements to the beats so they "felt" right. And you picked a lot of good sequences to get that feeling of charisma and power behind the lines.

I think the idea that developed behind the lyrics was that Lilah was tying up loose strings - the structure of the vid was that we would introduce her return/death - then introduce Marshall v. Shady (predeath Lilah/postdeath) and deal with Wes in that first verse.

I wanted to focus on Lilah "fixing" everything in the last verse - her interactions with Angel and Connor and her recap of what went wrong while she was gone and then finally the deal she offered Angel. I love that dead Lilah was finally able to recruit Angel - and that when she did he fricking thanked her. That was just beautiful...

Okay - for source we can help. I have all kinds of source and can walk you through that. Premiere - atr first it is daunting, but it will click eventually.

Big question - do you have a cable connection?

I'm willing to roll my sleeves up and just keep poking Premiere until it screams. Fortunately I've got an episode I can play with until it all makes sense. Or until I give up sobbing and muttering "down, not across, down, not across".

After that it's just getting my hands on sweet, sweet candy source.

AIM me if you need eps - I have great quality season 1 and 2 - middling season 3 (I would sell my right tit for better season 3 - and it is a nice tit, so that is saying something) and complete 4. It takes a couple of hours per transfer per ep, but hey - then you have source!

Dude - was it you are TBQ that used "Guess who's back" in the cut tags for LJ discussion after "Peace Out"? - cause whoever it was planted a little seed that grew after a full weekend of 8 Mile and all... HI! I had your videos saved on an old computer of mine, and I just realized that they are now gone... because I'm an idiot... who didn't transfer them.

I realize that your website has been taken down, but I was hoping that you could send/upload/repost some of your Buffy and Angel videos so that I can have them in my life again. I really hope I've commented elsewhere and, like, a decade ago but this vid always makes me smile. And every once in a while, I end up realizing that it's not on whatever machine I am using (or cleverly hidden in obscure filing which is more likely, honestly) and come back to download and watch again.
