"Cowboy" is back up at Headtilt.com - back and bugged. I had problems deciding where to insert the bug - I decided that it looked out of place on the opening "Cowboy" sequence and in the flashback sequence - but the likelihood of those 2 parts needing bugs is highly unlikely. I actually forgot the purpose of the bug for a while there :)

Other vids will be back up on the video page as they are reworked. Some vids are now permanently retired - more because I am just not as proud of them as I used to be and I don't think they are indicative of my work anymore, than I am upset that they have been ripped off. Those vids are everywhere - I've found them on 3 other sites and all over Kazaa. Eh - I'm not down with the caring at this point. Whatever.

2 New vids were posted this weekend (friends locked only).

Essence (Lucinda Williams) Buffy/Spike by me
The Pretender (Jackson Browne) Wes/Angel by [livejournal.com profile] drdawn

If you want to see the vids and do not have the URL - email me or Dawn: dawn@headtilt.com and sisabet@yahoo.com

So far this morning I have had to rewatch the battle sequences from 8 Mile with [livejournal.com profile] drdawn and give her a Marshall Mathers history lesson and discography. Which is really funny. Dawn got mad because I explained a Tupac reference to her - she knows Tupac. That she does. She gets obsessed about strange things and Tupac's life story was only one of those things. Lately, it has been Jim Rockford and where is his OTP?

Okay, whoa. I don't know how this happened, but somehow I never managed to see "Cowboy." I know, it's shocking. I guess when I first discovered Headtilt, I was so hung up on "Closer" that I couldn't get past it.

So today I dl'd "Cowboy" and I have to say it is just the best thing ever. EVER. Angel=pretty. And such a badass to boot. You did an amazing job of making him look so fucking cool. That is some serious Steve McQueen type shit. Beautiful editing. I sound like an idiot right now 'cause I can't really even say anything. But wow.

I LOVE Steve McQueen and you are right - Angel is such a badass. That was the purpose of Cowboy - I'm glad you liked it.

Okay, I've been watching it all freaking day. I love the sepia-tone, old-timey section in the middle! Great job of coordinating images and music. And the way you come out of that section, with the crazy colorful images of LA and the music kicking back in. Whoah. :-D

I know this is one of your earlier ones, but is there any chance Clint Eastwood is one of the ones you're putting back up? ::bats eyelashes:: I lost my copy of it when I got a new hard drive and I've been missing it ever since. If you're not going to put it online, is there any way I could get it from you through AIM? I promise I won't redistribute it -- I'll keep the Restless-y wonderfulness all to myself. ;)

Wow, sisabet. The final cut of "Essence" is heart-stopping and gorgeous. You added something to the end...that final image of Spike...ambiguous and haunting. Gives me a queasy feeling, which is probably what you intended. I love love love that last long section of quick clips from S7 eps--Lessons, Help, Sleeper, etc. Makes my heart swell with Spike love everytime I see it. And I'll just comment on [livejournal.com profile] drdawn's "Pretender" here, if that's okay. It was damn beautiful. I had no idea there was so much subtext for the Wes/Angel ship...so many long looks and good touches and two-daddies vibing. It's canon! I had no idea. I've only seen S1 in full, no S2 and very little S3. So I'm sensing this vid is the beginning of a brand-new obsession for me. Y'all are the best. Thank you for taking me to a very happy place.

tell your sister that I actually live for a while as a child on 8 mile road.

Why is this important? Hummm. Don't know. LOL Just feeling giddy that the tornado passed by my home (just barely) I guess.

Love the videos. Always have. Always will.

Dude you are from 8 Mile? Don't tell Dawn - she will pester you forever - also she will find out that I got tired of answering her questions yesterday and I just started making shit up. What? This is the woman who had me convinced my entire childhood that she knew my IQ scores, that Santa did not like me and Evil Knieval died jumping over the Grand Canyon. I feel no shame for any misleading info I may have fed her.

Sis that just means Dawn is a good big sister. Me and my bother were adopted and our parents made a big to do about us being special hand picked, etc. I used to tell Joey that he wasn't adopted, that they HAD to keep him. He would run and cry to momma! So Dawn did you good!

Yeah, when I was a kid. Till the neighbors beat the shit out of my brother and the parents moved us. Tough area. Tough time. Not something I brag about though it was so damn funny to think of a movie being made with that title.

Dawn can ask away but just tell her it was as bad as she could possibly imagine. Then make it worse.

You so have street cred with us now. You should brag. Street cred is difficult to aquire when you grow up on a farm in Kentucky.

From: [identity profile] luvs-phoenix.livejournal.com
yeah but you have cow cred. Me? No real knowledge of bovines.

I brag about a lot of things but growing up in the ghetto? Not so much. We're just lucky that we made it out whole.

Ironically my parents moved us up north to escape the violence only to move us smack dab into the middle of it in another town.

Hmmmmm. This might explain my bad ass attitude?

I do have cow cred. I do. You ever heard a term called "pulling a calf"? Not only do I know what this means - but I have seen it done. And It. Ain't. Pretty.

Hell - if we combined street and cow cred we could have an uinstoppable - well not force actually. I am now imagining gansta livestock and it could actually make a fairly entertaining Saturday morning television show.

we'd just end up with cows with bad attitudes who know how to score the good weed.

Not that I WOULD know anything about that. *g*

Pulling the cow? Does my son do that at night when I'm not looking?

Heee!! And the pulling is actually pulling the calf from the mother - sometimes they get stuck...

I've pulled a calf muscle, does that count?

Hey Sisabet,

Undercover Brother here. Yesterday Truth Seeking Woman agreed in terms to purchase a house -- her first, obviously. I don't know much about it, but I know this:

1. TSW likes it;
2. Our mother likes it;
3. I was in no way involved with the decision.

These three factors (the last is most important) should make this purchase successful. As a nice pop culture bonus, she told me that the house on Rick Stratton Drive.

UB: Rick Stratton?
TSW: Yeah.
UB: As in "Silver Spoons"?
TSW: (pausing) Oh crap.
UB: The Ricker?!?

As in "Silver Spoons"

that show sucked. it was even worse than different strokes, except the kid had a big upright video game in his room. Bonus points to anyone who can name the game.

OMIGOD! You know that is why she bought it. TSW has always been a sucker for pretty blonds!

Dude - you need an LJ. Dawn is on the case. Any man living on Rick Stratton Drive should be sharing his life on a daily basis with strangers.

Undercover Brother here again, and awake for no good reason. Think TSW did this on some unconscious level? Interesting.

As for my own LJ? Please. The first few times I read the abbreviation "LJ" I thought it stood for Luscious Jackson or something.

I can imagine it now...

I'm never going to get through this alive. I mean, what's the point? I'm not European, I don't plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, but it still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car.

Ah, I remember the hang-up now. Why am I doing this again? I've done so well mooching off family the past few years. I think maybe I can get out of this. Fake an illness or something. Nah, they'll all kick my ass. Okay, focus...

This is a blast! Why did I wait so long to take the bar exam? It's like I was scared of this one thing, and as I get closer, I'm thinking, "What was my hang-up?"

See - I would read this. I would read this and be entertained, occasionally concerned, but entertained. Nuff said, Dawn is getting you a code.

hey if you need any codes ask me - I have so many, and they're not going anywhere fast (and of course, it's just ohsotraumatising to watch them just sit there and pile up, month after month...). I think I made my point already. Mmmph.

Hi ya, this is Ladymoluk. I'm not logged in so I have to be 'anonymous' . I just wanted to repeat what I said in the emails to Dawn - the new vids are just amazing! I actually cried over the Wes/Angel, The Pretender. I'm so pleased you're going to get the old ones back up. I've started seeing my manipulated pictures on other sites without credit to me, so I know exactly how you feel about the theft.

Late to this party, sorry 'bout that, but I couldn't in good conscience not drop you a line about Essence, which I adore to itty bitty bits, even if it did take me this long to do it... Also, I blame you entirely for making every song I was considering for a Spuffy vid suddenly seem so sadly, sadly lacking by comparison. Not only is Lucinda Williams' voice got that perfect tinge of raw, the lyrics are amazing, managing to cover the same gamut of romantic-to-the-nth-degree and totally-messed-up that sucks me helplessly into spuffidom. And of course it goes nearly without saying that I love all the quick-cuts back-and-forth between scenes that you do between related scenes, and the way you just carry us rushing headlong along with the music. very, very cool...
