I Love My Dead Gay Angel...
Apr. 30th, 2003 09:31 pmReally quickly - regarding the recent clip theft controversy:
alliterator has responded, quite admirably I might add, and taken down his vids and is now working on ripping DVDs and aquiring original source. Please help him along if he needs it - it is rough starting out.
I am not sorry I spoke out. I said I would do it and I did. If I catch someone stealing from my vids, there will be a private request to remove the vids and then I will go public. Unless you are on Nummy Treat or (god forbid)Video Boot Camp. Then there is already an established code of conduct and really none of this should surprise anyone.
I can't stop what happens to material I share on the internet. I am not naive. I may be a bit gullible, but I am not naive. But I do choose how I react to it and I can choose to be possessive of work I have done. I can also choose how I share and distribute what, to me, is a very fulfilling hobby and form of expression.
People can think I am over-reacting. That is their right. People can decide that I am a hypocrite - again with the rights having. I am so down with the rights. Go Opinions!
I am thinking about a lot of things right now.
In particular, my boyfriend Angel and here I cut to briefly say something about "Peace Out"
My sweet sweet man. Dear God how I love that Vampire. He was killing me with the quips:
"You must not have kids"
"I'm working on it"
Whew - there was much much more but currently I am in an unexpected Lilah-gifty place. Wow, is it really her? And don't tell me if you know, but Oh. My. God.
drdawn's reaction was priceless. Neither of us are spoiled for Angel and she was jumping around the room in freaking hysterics. It was so cute. She can't stop smiling right now. I am kinda jazzed myself.

Date: 2003-04-30 10:00 pm (UTC)Tonight has been filled with the good since I ate the steak fajitas. Maybe I should have fajitas whenever I get depressed? Oh, wait. I already do.

Date: 2003-04-30 10:18 pm (UTC)Oh, that sounds like a lovely plan. Glad you seem to be feeling better. These last couple of weeks have been a bitch for vidders. ::hugs::
I'm unspoiled for both Buffy and Angel, and I had no idea the Angel finale was next week. I'm all depressed now... oh, hm... maybe I'll go watch "Cowboy" to cheer myself up. I love that video. I don't know much about vids, so I can't comment intelligently on it, but it is one of the ones I (thankfully, all things considered) saved to my hard drive so I can watch it whenever I want. It's brilliant. And the old-timey bit at the bridge cracks me up, every time. I think you picked just the perfect song for it, and every time I watch that vid, Angel just gets sexier and sexier. Thanks for making something I enjoy so much. *g*

Glad things are better on the vidding front. I think the way you handled it is really admirable. Go you!

Shame, isn't it? Oh well - more excuse for us to fantasize about him without the clothes. :cough: Mmmm.

Date: 2003-05-01 05:22 am (UTC)I loved every minute of Peace Out, even Connor. I got all teary when he was in there talking to Corpsadelia, or whatever she is. He's had such a horrible existence, and can't love those who love him, and who can blame him? It sucks to be Connor. (Meta: VK has done a remarkable job of making me feel sorry for and then hate and then love Connor. Last night, his acting was stunning.)
However, it *really* sucks to be Angel. Wow. And he suffers so beautifully. sigh. He may have lost the woman, and seems to have lost the son, but he still has Wes. *cough*

Date: 2003-05-01 10:35 am (UTC)Angel: Wes! You shouldn't have!
Wes: Let... me.. (struggles)... set these just so. Now, step in... okay...
Angel: It's a little tight, Wes.
Wes: Cock rings are supposed to be tight.
Angel: But I didn't get you anything!
Wes: (drooling) Oh yes you did... you did indeed.
