This was my response. I am posting it here because I don't trust that it will not be deleted. I don't like this at all. I never wanted to name someone publically - this is the first time I have done so, despite numerous instances of clip theft. But I said that I would, if the person did not take down stolen vids when asked and last night proved that I have to stand by my statements as well. So I named names. And I will do it again.

Grey Day did not originate with you. No - but inconsiderate fans like you are the driving force. All of the videos at Headtilt.com , however are down because of you. Some are most likely down permanently, as I am so tired of seeing them plundered. Dude - you stole from "Closer" - how could you do that? Do you realize how much work went into that vid? You profess to be a vidder - if you really are then you know that took months of work. As did all of the vids you stole from. I have to hand it to you - you do have taste. Ripping off me and Lum and Jainie - was it cause our source was so pretty? Was it because we have tightly edited scenes and rarely waste time on static shots, instead focusing on movement? Was it because we use scenes you don't always see in a hundred other videos so it looked fresh? Do you realize how much time and effort was invested in each of those vids to create something unique - and you come along, treat it as free and easy downloadable source and chop it up for "your masterpiece" - you treat me, my vids and my site (whose bandwidth is paid for by me and my sister dr dawn) like shit. Like a whore.

Please don't give me that you did not know it was wrong - it would not have been hard to join the BtVS vidding community (you know the list owner) and have quickly become informed about the accepted forms of behavior. I see that on Twop where you were informed that it is frowned upon - you stated you would have "curb the habit" - do you know how infuriating that statement is to me? Last night you responded to my sister's private emailed request by taking down only one version of the vid - when you know full well that the majority of your vids are comprised of stolen clips. It is not my job to catch you stealing. If you were truly contrite and truly wanted to be a member of this community - you would have taken down all stolen vids without our "reminders." I am furious. I am also very depressed over this whole damn deal. I am so sick and tired of being ripped off - and I have only been vidding for a year. I would hate to leave online vidding. I love it. It is tremendously rewarding and it is the way the vidding community was introduced to me. I would like to do that for some other vidders as well, eventually (as Lum did for me) - but I don't know how much more of the inconsideration I can really take. I mean - I am paying for a site so that people can rip me off - it does not make sense...

BTW - it isn't as if you downloaded the vids in a vacuumm - my LJ is linked to my site - I rant about this constantly. You never looked? You never saw the notices on other vid sites not to steal? Did you think it was just a suggestion? Did you bother reading any of the info on these sites? My mind is just truly boggled right now.
