Hell yeah. Of course it was entirely faithful to the short story so it wasn't as if we were totally not spoiled. SO SAD NOW!!!!

Oh, but see, I did not get a chance to read the short story until after I saw the movie (bad Linzee bad!) and nobody warned me about things ahead of time. Needless to say I was BROKEN. BROKEN.

Also, I had to go Christmas shopping after that. I was surrounded by Christmas music and lots of people and creepy guys in Santa suits going, "Ennis! Jack! :WOE:!"

Yes! I had to pick up some gifts (and wine) at World Market afterward and I was just in a daze. I remember wanting to grab my cashier who seemed overly preoccupied with packaging my purchases and shaking him because didn't he know!!!
