So I just watched Trinity and I don't know if it is the beer or the extreme stress or just the PURE TRUE LOVE OR SOMETHING but I can't stop "OMGing" renenet.

My first reaction to this episode beyond incoherent OMGing was that if the writers of the show aren't actively slashing the characters in canon then they must be smoking something really good to write an episode like "Trinity" and not see it. They are SO in love!

Yes - and see - remember how I was telling you that I don't think the show's *canon* sells the vid the way I want to do it and watching S2? I don't think I can support the POV on my super!ultra!mega META AS HELL OTP.

At least not the way I want it. Which is cool. Fanon supports that vid (awww, the dangers of over-reading).

However -- based on what we learn about Rodney in Trinity - I think my original thought when I first heard the song (which was - "oh, Rodney") before I had my OMG breakthru was that the show just didn't give me enough PAIN to make this Rodney.

Now the show has corrected that obviously glaring and terribly wrong oversight. All that is left to do is convince Eunice. And I think she is hiding from me because I went into over-beta on her latest and started begging her to finish it a certain way. Which is a no-no but I am not a good beta. This has been established.

I am also not in my right mind. I am still at work btw! Hi!

And now I'm remembering all kinds of scenes like when he runs to catch up to Sheppard at the end to apologize & that sad little smile he has and, and...yeah. It's time to watch that ep again. Because it's all about the love.

I love Rodney so much he can blow up TWO solar systems and I will still find it charming if alarming. He could even blow up a solar system that I was in. As long as I was in the 1/4 he didn't blow up cause it would be really hard to love him if I am dead. I'd still try though.
