Vid Rec! Veronica Mars!

So I don't watch Veronica Mars - despite repeated prodding and pushes and gentle little whispers from people who know me well, "Liz, this is a really great show," "Liz, seriously a really good show," "Liz, OMG you drive me crazy - why won't you watch already!" and I have to admit I have pretty much enjoyed being on the outside of the fandom - the dispassionate observer of a friendslist gone WILD! It has been kind of fun.

But I've never been really all that tempted to watch the show. Even when Joss Whedon went nutso for it. renenet gave me season 1 at VVC and it has sat prettily on top of my DVD player ever since while I watched "Dr. Who" and "The Deadzone" and "Due South" and "China Beach."

Ever so often I'd pat it on it's little WB head and be on my way. You see - despite and actually probably in actual spite (oh I am a petty petty little thing sometimes) of everyone I know loving this show, I just never really felt the urge to pop in the disc and hit play.

And then the other night f1renze sent me a snip of her vid in progress and for the first time I saw and is that what the show looks like? and is the show that emotionally fraught? and see - the answer was yes. But this is the first time I feel an actual need to see this show. And all it took was one really good vid - so - go watch and let her know you watched. Remember - a comment just to say you liked something, or had a question about why? she did something or just to squee!Vid is never out of place to a vidder.

Well - maybe it is to some vidders - but not the ones I hang with. Actually, I've yet to meet a vidder who dislikes comments of any kind. My vidding peeps are not scary - they are goofballs (seriously - get Lum 3 margaritas to the wind and with Premiere in her hands - it is hysterical! Or hide the coffee from Eunice - fun times!) So feedback or comment or comment with feedback!

OMG you drive me so crazy. If you spoiled yourself I am going to spit. nails. For real, man. I am in the first 48 hours of my period and WOULD LIKE TO DISEMBOWEL MYSELF WITH A GARDEN TROWEL, but I could easily be convinced to turn it on others. It and its little friend the hand rake.

And VM is on UPN, not the WB.

I was spoiled a long long time ago for VM. That ship has sailed, but maybe - with prayer and fasting and constant vigilance, I can regain my unspoiled status cause True TV WAITS!

Having recently joined the ranks of the vidding world...thanks in many ways to Devil Bunny...I have started taking this "Vidding is free advertising" stand. Hey, I protest whenever I see FBI warnings...people buy songs when they hear them in my vids (at least I HOPE they are buying them...I know I bought them)...and sometimes they watch the show I'm vidding from, too.

Also, I have become insanely jealous of my source (no, not really) but jeepers it is time intensive to create clips from scratch. AVsynth and DGindex and...man, I'm starting to feel dizzy.
