Headtilt (my website) is still down, along with all of my vids. However, because of the incredible-incredibleness of
just_eunice and her generous hosting-offer, I can post my Vividcon vid. YAY!
So here it is - this was my Premiere vid this year at Vividcon. The source is from Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2. Beta thanks to
renenet and
sockkpuppett for support and hand-holding.
Ring Them Bells
song by Bob Dylan
Download the wmv here (please right click and save as, especially since Eunice is doing this to be nice. So be, you know, nice). ETA 8-19-09: please note the wmv version is no longer available online.
HOWEVER!!! I recommend the avi, because hot damn it looks good. Seriously - this entire vid was made using avisynth and the fantastic guide here, and I barely scratched the surface of what I could actually use this to do. I'm figuring it out more and more (and I really need a better system. This is the straw that sent the camel out PC-shopping) but this is by far the prettiest vid I have ever made. Easily. All because
absolut3destiny is a genius, but we knew this.
Okay - so on my system this xvid file plays perfectly with VLC but the audio is fucked up and lags on WMP (I tried 3 versions) and Eunice said Quicktime choked on it. So - if you download this file, you have to promise me you will use VLC to play it. Otherwise, I will be up all night worried that you are watching a vid that is not synched properly and seriously, this will stress me the fuck out. Do you want to stress me out? And anyway, if you are not using VLC as a player, you are totally missing out. It plays everything right out of the box. You should get it.
And if you have it, Download the avi version here. Because this may be the prettiest thing I've ever done. But ONLY on VLC. Of course you can try to play it on other players. But if the cuts at the beginning don't correspond with the chords? Do not tell me.
For now, if linking, use this LJ entry and feedback in any and all forms is really appreciated.
ETA: 8-19-09: The vid is now available again for download. The above link should work.

Date: 2005-10-10 04:17 am (UTC)I told you that I loved it when I saw it, and I still do. I've never seen the movie, but the passion and the emotion in that video just kills me everytime. It's so sad and heartbreaking and it makes me want to run out and rent the movies like right now.
Tee-hee!
I love this video so much and I'm definitely going to download the high quality version just so I can watch it all full screen and gorgeous.
Congrats on getting it out there and done. :)
