Tales From the Supermarket

So, today, in a fit of "Hey, I'd like to survive the weekend" I went to the grocery store. I'm still sick and kind of weak so my food choices were kind of confined to whatever I walked past. It was strange.

But even stranger was the music. The PA started playing Stevie Nicks and Don Henley's "Leather and Lace" and I was humming along laughing to myself that this is the song drdawn wants me to sing at her wedding. Cause that is the joke.

Then, panic set in as I realized Dawn is in a fairly serious relationship and she could potentially get married and she could just as easily have a wedding and then I would be expected to get in front of everyone and sing with a straight face "Give to me your leather. Take from me, my lace."

THEN, in a complete fit of irrationality (I blame the dehydration), I decided that Dawn probably doesn't even want me to sing at her wedding - she probably wants someone with musical ability or something and maybe her boyfriend's sister has perfect pitch and I felt totally rejected and jealous.

And then I realized that I was having a very emotional moment in the dairy section of Kroger and Don Henley hadn't even walked into her house to stay, yet.

I think I might have a fever.
