Not Without My Cable Bill!

How can I totally remember paying my cable bill and yet no record of this occurring exists anywhere? If it were my kid and not my cable bill, this could be the plot of a movie starring Julianne Moore or Jody Foster. Y'know - without Hannibal Lecter. Although, adding him into the mix would make it more interesting. You could even lose the kid and keep the bill as the central plot element since now you have Lecter.

Lose the kid, keep the Lecter, and pay your cable bill. Words to live by, my friends. Words to live by.

Maybe your payment went through a wormhole in the fabric of spacetime and you were actually paying the bill for six months from now. At least, you won't have to pay that one when it comes around.
