Showtime. All Time and No Show.

So I recently called the cable company for something... I think it was for my passwords so I can actually get online when I eventually get my computer back - but anyway - they sold me Showtime. Cause I am weak and it was five dollars. And so many things cost five dollars and I can do without one of the five dollar costing things once a month for Showtime - right? I get InDemand with it and I *love* InDemand cause it lets me pretend that I have a Tivo. Yay!

I will now be able to catch up on Dead Like Me without having to buy or Netflix the DVDs and last night I tried to watch Queer as Folk but man, me and that show - the magic is just gone. I was annoyed and bored and I don't remember the show being this gloomy when I watched it. It even has the permanent Homicide:Life on the Streets camera going and I remember that showing up in Season 3 and that should have really clued me in that me and the show were at an end. Cause we are. So sad. Cause I have no problem with that camera on H:LoS or even on Battlestar Galactica but dude - not on my shiny soap opera. Now my shiny is all gritty and muted. It is like Emmett after George died only ALL THE TIME.

Still, so so sad. It is like when Melrose Place became all about Alison's alcoholism, which was boring, and not about Sidney trying to sleep with her sister's husband. Which was funny. Remember when she tricked Michael into marrying her and then he spent the entire honeymoon trying to kill her? Good times.

I have a feeling that Cowlip decided they were Doing Important Work here and then they tried to transition the shiny into the socially relevant and just... well, good luck with that. All the best.

The Boy has clued me in that Penn and Tellers "Bullshit" is fascinating - it is like Mythbusters with snark and cursing! So I have been watching that.

I might start back in on DLM tonight - I want to make certain I am completely through the series by Vividcon. So that is worth five bucks at least. Surely.

This concludes a stunningly unnecessary post. Tomorrow on Sisabet's LJ we will discuss my feelings about different brands of toenail clippers.

AHAHAHA! *has teh love* I used to love Sydney and her insane antics, but then boring stuff happened and she ended up DYING on her WEDDING DAY to David fucking Charvet's character who doesn't deserve to have a character name, because I think he too was boring.

Dude, I found a kind of toenail clippers with a little compartment that catches the clippings!! And then you slide the cover back and dump them! You got that, you got InDemand, all in all it's a great time to be alive.

I saw those!! And there is also the kind with the extensions on the levers so they are easier to grip if you have hand issues. There is a wide range of toenail clipper options nowadays, actually. It *is* a great time to be alive.
