My inability to access chat or IM programs due to my home computer's recent ill health has apparently resulted in a rash of me taking out all of my frustrations on an entire department of underwriters. Seriously -- we are talking *10* emails, today alone, of unrelenting snarkage of the underwriting kind.

Although it feels like cheating because underwriting is so dull, so very very dull, that *anything* above a certain level qualifies as snark. It is sad what qualifies really. I don't even know if it reaches a "You Can't Do That on Television" Nickelodean level of sophistication. And hey! Remember "You Can't Do That On Television?" Cause, apparently the dudes at Adult Swim did and I saw references to it on at least 3 different shows this week. Unless I dreamed it. I could have dreamed it.

So, that has been my day. I was mean to some Underwriters (but they started it) and then I ate lunch and then I was distressed to find out Liz Phair is a Scientologist. Man. I still wish her all the best, but maybe lack of prozac explains her last album. Just... how can you write something like the "Divorce Song" or "Baby Got Going" and in 12 years time write "Why Can't I"? It does NOT compute.

Hey - I just realized I have never listened to The Rolling Stones "Exile on Main Street" but I have owned "Exile In Guyville" twice over (once in '94 and again this year as my original did not make it that far in my life's journey which also means "I sold it for gas money in '98" - just FYI). I have no idea why I've not listened to "Exile on Main Street" - I know most of the songs on it... huh. I actually have *never* listened to that many Rolling Stones albums (Sticky Fingers is the *only* one I can recall offhand, and I do love it, so maybe that is influencing my memory), now that I think about it. Why is that? Maybe because they should have broken up twenty years ago and stopped muddying the waters of their former glory with mediocre efforts? Possibly. I mean -- I don't have childhood memories steeped in horror over The Beatles or Bob Dylan or even Led Zeppelin, but I remember a middle-aged Mick Jagger coming at me from my television set and the only thing scarier than that when you are four years old is Gene Simmons. Or Richard Simmons.

::imagines the love child of Gene and Richard Simmons::

And I can rattle off a ton of Rolling Stones' songs I love. This is strange. I've never made a concerted effort to seek out any of their music.

In other news: 1 hour until CONTACTS!!! Whee - Eye Exam! Yay! I'm not the least bit nervous! Whoo HOO!!!

Same here. I've never owned any of their albums but sing enthusiastically in the car whenever one of their songs is played on the radio.

Hi. I love you. I crossed my fingers for you for a good eye exam. I hope it went well. Can you see me? How many fingers am I holding up?

Man Mick Jagger is *nothing.* I have occasional nightmares about Keith Richards though. Sometimes I think that man is actually dead - has been for a good ten years - and they just embalmed him and now move him animatronically on-stage.
