sisabetI love the characters on Deadwood so much I am unable to even talk about it. All I can do is point and wave my arms around wildly and every now and then I may be able to squeak out, "Ellsworth!!! Al!! Joannie! Martha, Martha, Martha! Oh, oh, oh Jane!" and then go back to just grunting and waving.
But then Charlie does something and all I can do is just sit, useless, for the rest of the night. I have been felled by a four minute scene. My heart!

Date: 2005-04-25 04:24 am (UTC)That performance is so superb (and well written to boot) -- so many actors would be chewing the scenery, and yet they guy they've got does a superb job of playing somebody imitating human beings.
