So for various and sundry reasons, my hot water heater was on the fritz this morning. I am anxiously awaiting the repair-gas-dude's call (please god! Let them call!) because that water is *cold* - I mean cold, cold, cold.

And yet... my hair looks so shiny today. It is amazing. My skin feels pretty smooth as well and I am just now getting around to my morning cup of coffee because, trust me, I was awake after my shower. Wide Awake.

I was actually dreading the shower and thinking about just going across the street to Dawn's house or maybe not washing my hair today, because normally when I inventory a situation I wonder "What would Buffy do?" and Buffy - she would bitch about a cold shower. She would. Me and Buffy - we were pretty dubious about the entire enterprise.

But then I wondered, "What would Starbuck do?" and she would probably laugh. She'd make a face and possibly bitch and then laugh more.

She also might skip the shower altogether, but I went with laugh and got in and out very quickly.

Starbuck would also track down the repair people and punch them if they didn't call. Just keep that in mind. It might work.

They haven't called! Starbuck could probably just fix it herself, actually.

Cold water makes your pores shut, making your skin softer and generally finer. If you wash your face in hot water and rinse it in cold, you'll get less pimples.

It also soothes your hair somehow--my grandmother's always told me to rinse off one last time in cold water before I get out of the shower, so my hair is shiny and frizz-free.

I almost never do it, of course... but it does work. ^_~

It also is ... well bracing is actually a very mild term for what I went through this morning.

Heee. I know the feeling. Broken water heaters reeeeeally suck.

And you just get stuck in there longer because your hands go numb. >_

Clearly the no-hot-water demon afflicting my showerhead yesterday decided to move on to yours today. I wonder which our acquaintances will attract it next?

Dude - didn't it just hurt(the cold shower)? And could it be related to new BSG viewings? Are the cylons in control of the hot water now? Cause that is just evil.
