State I'm In

sisabetI am still at work. STILL! And working! ACK!
At my desk is a pile of files that I absolutely have to get to before I can leave. Beside those files sits "Carnivale" as it was delivered here early (Thank you Deep Discount DVDs!).
At my home sits my dog. My poor, itchy dog who went to yet another vet on Saturday. Something had bitten him - I was concerned (as he is a total house dog, only outside with supervision). Turns out he bit himself. Poor itchy dude. Also? This vet was not my Dad's normal vet (we were at the parents house), so I had to have the following exchange AGAIN:
Me: Before you trim his nails, we need a muzzle.
Vet: Does he bite?
Me: When you cut his nails, he does.
Vet: [doesn't believe, starts to cut Sid's nails anyway]
Sid: [freaks the fuck out, bites]
Me: Yeah, like that.
I swear I need a T-shirt to wear that says "Warning: My Dog Will Bite You IF You Mess with His Nails." cause they never believe me.
What else?
My itchy dog is waiting for me at home. There is no hot water waiting for me at home. There is no food waiting for me at home, but there are the final eps of BSG and a new Deadwood that I need to see and did I mention I also have CARNIVALE now and why am I still here?
Seriously. Why?
