Happy birthday just_eunice! You are so many things to me: AE guru, best con roomie eva!, beta, friend, vidder -- the list just goes on. You need to kick back today, tell responsibility to find you another time - and just chill.

Now - what do I talk about today? Hmmm - thanks to Crash-And-Burn-Beta by renenet the other night, I might have a Smallville vid to post tonight. Tomorrow at the latest, as I am *not* going to hold on and coddle this vid. This vid is a big girl and needs to just get out there in the world and make her way.

Also, too much Chloe and I get really hyper. Seriously - I bounce off walls anyway. I don't need to bounce down the street as well. So, tonight I fix a few things like eyelines not quite hitting where they need to go emotionally, smooth a transition or two and decide if my attachment to one clip really justifies it existing in this vid when the only thing I have to recommend it is "OMG, she is soooo cute here!" which is as valid as anything for justifying a clip, but... if I am including the cute just because it is cute and narratively the vid would be better served if I went with something else - I need to decide what my motivation is with this clip. And, as renenet pointed out last night, Chloe is plenty cute throughout the vid.

She really is just adorable. I hope she doesn't die. I am tired of adorable and plucky young girls biting the big one. On that note - I plan on spending at least part of the weekend reading stories at 4colorheroines.

Most of the weekend will be spent on a trip home to make my car inspection-worthy and to complete a few more scene inspections for work (damn that Chloe vid! I am all addicted to investigating now). Oh - and Starbucks? Mom - Cappy? Starbucks?

Oh - and beta for Flo - we gotta talk. Cause you need someone who can look at this vid and doesn't collapse in goo. Cause ::love:: so much. Man.

It doesn't flow with the rest of the line. It sticks out like a very cute sore thumb. You should probably either find yet another "vulnerable" or lose the beloved "luscious" clip. Although, now that I think about it, is anything *not* going to stick out like a sore thumb on "luscious" unless it's from the same scene as "cool, tall, vulnerable"? Something to ponder.

Of course, I'm also fine with leaving it the way it is and grading it on a curve because Chloe is adorable and the purpose of this vid is not to flip out and kill somebody.

I've been thinking about this all day - I think the set will be stronger if I vid luscious from that scene - especially since cool and tall are at a semi -long-shot and then she walks into a semi-half-shot for "vulnerable" and it makes sense that "luscious" should be a close up from that scene - and I think I can do that. In turn it will mean so much more and flow right into "I would have it all if I only had this much" because we will be coming not only from a point of ambition for that scene but a point of ambition that is based on the wall of weird -- and this sets us up for the look at Clark, and then the spin on the lucifer bits.

Which means I lose that adorable clip. But - she will be adorable in the close up that replaces it. She is adorable when she is being all devious and hanging with Lionel - what am I worried about here?

Hi. The one other thing I have neglected to tell you is that the clip that replaced the card sliding clip looks muddy or washed out or something. Can you tweak it? Oh, and also? Thank you for giving me more misery. I like it.
