I Miss Vioxx - and Other Tales of Woe.

sisabetSo I decided to get SV Spoiled last night cause I was all debating finishing my Chloe vid right now as opposed to waiting for a bit more material. Based on when the next ep airs - not any spoiler - I'll probably finish the rough draft tonight as I want to finish this vid before Cappy's birthday.
Other than that, I have no comment on any spoiler, whatsoever. My head might have exploded - it is hard to say.
I'm still not ready to do the Deadwood vid. I just - I don't know if I am gonna be up to this. I get all pumped and I am at work or in my car and then I sit at the computer and I just decide right away that there is no way I can tackle this, there is no way I'll do it justice, it will end up being flat and no one will ever understand it and what the hell are you thinking?
And I won't have an answer for that.
My hands feel better today. I am typing rather normally now - holding the cursor for longhand is still pretty near impossible and I think tonight I will most likely be relying on the old left handed peck for typing so... meh, I'll just watch TV. I'm not as stiff today, but the aching is either worse or I am just not ignoring it as effectively. This weather sucks and I am heating up the paraffin bath thing Mom gave me when I get home.
So, tonight will be "Gilmore Girls," paraffin hand treatment, and then finish the Chloe vid.
Vidding doesn't hurt my hands although sometimes I do switch the mouse over to my left. Interesting thing to note: My left hand cannot time a beat. I have no idea what it is up with this - I can use it to set start and end points on a clip and I can use it to pull that clip into the timeline, but getting the clip to line up and time the movement and set the beat points... I cannot do it with my left hand - it is like I *think* differently and then my right hand twitches. Very strange and I wonder sometimes if my corpus callosum is even functioning.
I'm feeling kinda like I want to do something frivolous and fluffy right now - all shine and no pain. I've got a song and I've got and idea and I've got the source so as soon as I bury my Should-Be-Working-On-the-Deadwood-Vid Angst, I'll start clipping for it.
The idea is to just stay busy - to not get in anymore no-vidding funks. Cause eventually it will be August and I imagine at some point either Lum or I will say:
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it.
And I want to have Vids with me when I say it. Or she says it. Or something. And maybe the Deadwood vid will be finished then? Maybe not? It doesn't really matter - cause the BBP will be completed.

I'll probably finish the rough draft tonight as I want to finish this vid before Cappy's birthday.
I will be back in my door by 7, which I think is 9 by you, possibly 8. And I will sit at the computer and not move until the rough draft is done and ready to send my way. ;) I can actually be useful now... finally someone vids something were I feel as though I could actually be good as a beta, even a mini beta... because I am like *one* with Chloe right now. ::nods:: I might actually be good for something *gasp*

Repetitive movements are not so much the problem (and thankfully, not likely to be one with the tablet pc for work). It is just stiffness and pain in the joints -- last night just pecking at the keys was ultimately too much to deal with, painwise.
