I just realized that Sid-The-Dog-Faced-Boy's theme song is to the tune of "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" which I think I might have known and forgotton. And the reason I am thinking about "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" is because I was thinking about if there was a glitch in the space-time continuum and Clark from "Smallville" met Kelso from "That 70's Show" they could be very good friends. Kelso would think Clark was all smart and Clark would never have to worry about Kelso deducing his secret. The only possible problem I can foresee is Kelso secretly worrying that Clark is prettier - but I think he'll just dismiss that concern as soon as it arises and Clark will be all to willing to bestow the title of "Still the Prettiest" to Kelso without dispute.

After all, Clark is the smart one. I think actually being in a friendship, pairing, or dyad where this is actually true, well this could work wonders for his self-esteem.

And the reason I thought of all of this and "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" is because I watched part of a scene from "Cheaper by the Dozen" last night and it features both actors. I didn't actually see them interact onscreen - but that does not mean I won't leap to a "what-if" scenario. I mean, after all - both Clark and Kelso are much beloved by me. And I think it is only natural to want the boys to be friends.

And since I know "Cheaper by the Dozen" is a remake, I immediately associate what I saw of the plot last night with "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" a movie I loved as a little kid. That movie was right up there with "The Parent Trap" for me. And I don't really know if "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" was the original concept movie (although I *know* I read the book when I was younger) or if there is another movie called "Cheaper by the Dozen" or if I am thinking of "With Six, You Get Eggroll" and what does any of this have to do with "The Brady Bunch" ? and actually - I don't really care enough to even look this up and I could and mystery solved but again - I don't care.

But - since I thought of "Please, Don't Eat the Daisies" I had to sing the actual song a bit to myself as that is compulsory with thought and I realized that this is Sid's theme song, the song I sing to him every day. Awwww.

Now I don't think that Clark would actually invent a song to sing to his dog - but I think that if Kelso was his friend, Kelso would definitely sing to Clark's dog.

I am kinda wondering what song that would be...

You know that welling and kutcher modeled together as young teenagers? I'm pretty sure you can find the pics up at tomwelling.com. Those two go back years!

This isn't to the point of your post, but since I know:

Myrna Loy starred in the 1950 "Cheaper by the Dozen" based on the Frank Gilbreth non-fiction book of the same title.

Lucille Ball started in a 1968, merging-two-large-families movie called "Yours, Mine, Ours."

Unrelated to the above and also not to the point: I smile every time you say "Sid-the-dog-faced-boy" because I've been independently referring to our beagle and maltese as "The Dog-faced Boys" for as long as we've had them.

"Cheaper by the Dozen" is one of my favorite books, ever since I was a kid. I still have a copy here. I loved the first movie, with Myrna Loy and Clifton Webb, but that coupled with my love of the book and recent distaste for Steve Martin has successfully prevented my *ever* seeing the remake.

They just don't make big-family-in-the-house movies like they used to.
