Am I Gonna Die?
Feb. 17th, 2005 11:09 pmSo yesterday at the market, jumbo sea scallops were on special and so I bought about 5 of them and I sauteed them tonight and served them with roasted eggplant and onions stir-fried with a black bean sauce. And it wasn't bad but I only ate about three scallops because I got distracted by the wine (the wine was goooodddd) and the vividcon talk.
And I didn't want to waste the scallops cause they are scallops. And Sid is a New Orleans dog. He will eat crawfish whole if you don't watch him.
So I put the scallops in his dish.
Just now I got up to double-check the kitchen door locks and the scallops are still there. Sid has licked them to get the sauce off of em - but he didn't eat them.
My dog won't even eat my cooking.
Now I am wondering if there is any kinda disease one gets from bad scallops and if I should worry that my throat feels rough (my allergies *are* kicking in and have been all day) or if I will go to sleep and slip into some kinda shock and never wake up and I *knew* I had no business watching House.
Can you get a tapeworm from scallops?
