One thing is certain: [livejournal.com profile] jackiekjono watched tonight.

At one point I was certain that the producers would not just stop at sending Clark's oldest friend out of town, killing his girlfriend and basically alienating (heh) him from everyone else: They were also gonna kill his dog.

Thankfully, this was not the case.

Also, thankfully, this was not really Krypto.

Other thoughts: I love Chloe knowing and I love Clark not knowing that Chloe knows. Love it love it love it.

The Lois/Clark stuff is uneven. They need to find a level and stick with it because the constant sniping is overboard. Lois teasing Clark - absolutely great. Lois calling Clark "Puppy" - even better. Lois constantly putting him down at every opportunity? Not endearing. Yeah - adult Lois can get away with it - there is a protective dynamic at play and also? She is defending her space from an interloping newcomer. Eventually they get past that and develop a friendship. Here, I don't get where Clark threatens her at all. So, if they played it as casual indifference - Lois considers Clark a cute Puppy/Kid and doesn't really notice beyond that... well that would be better. Later we have all the time in the world for animosity. We also have reason for it.

Lex appears to absolutely hate Clark. I mean at levels even I don't get. I suspect there is scapegoating going on in the Lex-Brain.

::must consider::

Also? If Lex does not know that Clark is Superman in this universe? There will have to be more brain damage involved. This saddens me --yet I feel it is inevitable.

Next Week: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Lana!

Tell me about it! I was just whining about this on TWoP. I don't dislike Lois in theory and I don't mind her being on the show, but MAN she came across as unpleasant in much of this episode. The Kents barely know the girl and for some bizarre reason have opened their home to her, Clark seems to given up his room to her, and she just keeps on acting like a prick to him. Seriously- I'd have told her to hit the road by now. It's not cute and it's not funny, it's just plain annoying.

And the Clark/Lex is giving me no joy. None at all.

On the plus side, I strained something laughing at the trailer for next week.

Re: the trailer?

Dear AlMiles: when I mentioned the possibility of you turning her into Lallyria this season? I was kidding!

If she turns blue I quit the internet.

I did watch. I was all snuggled up in my blankies, pointing at the screen and saying, "Krypto!" over and over again.

He had a little cape and everything.
