God, Logan is that boyfriend that you have to have and I am standing on the sidelines watching and screaming "Run, Rory! Run!" and meanwhile I know it is hopeless because there is no way to turn away from that level of charm. Oh but the pain that is coming is HUGE!
But see - no it isn't. Because he will always make you think that he cares more then he does. He doesn't mean to do it - it is just the way he looks at you and speaks to you and all of a sudden you feel special and unique and "Ace" and wow - this is the best thing ever.
And it will crush you when you realize he does this to everyone and he doesn't mean it maliciously - it is just how he is. He doesn't feel the way you think he feels and he isn't really capable of feeling how it looks like he feels and yet... it is just hard to believe that none of it is real and dude - it will FUCK you up.

Actually - this song would make a fabulous vid comparing Christopher to Logan -- because they are both cut from the same cloth and to show how the Gilmores have both accomadated this - Lorelei in the past putting everything on hold for Christopher and Rory wanting and needing her father to be there and finally just giving up on him -- to the genesis of Rory meeting and becoming attracted to Logan.
Logan is her Christopher, and not in the "first love" way that Lorelei often romantizes about Chris -- that is actually not a fair representation of the relationship which for almost twenty years has been "Chris Charms Her and She Forgives Him and Allows Him In Her Orbit" -- and damn.
I don't want to vid GG. But I do want to see this vid. I love this song so much. And I think this would be fascinating. Damn.
Wow! I just listened to it. It *sounds* so much like GG. I think I need to give the Logan/Rory storyline a few more episodes but I really want to try this!
Personally, I still think that Rory should just stop playing around with all those guys - Dean, Jess, Tristan, Logan... she has bad taste in guys - and finally get together with Paris. They're perfect for each other! They're an intellectual match, they have great chemistry, they're best friends... Well, the list goes on. (And, as a bonus, it would give Emily something else to focus on, and take some heat off of Lorelei. ^_^)
I an soooo angry at Emily right now and normally I love Emily but then she broke up LORELEI AND LUKE!! And I have been waiting for them for five years and Damn you Emily Gilmore!!
That was really, really good angst, but I don't know how much I can take: I just watched a double bill of GG and OTH breakup angst and even though I really do think they'll work this out, watching them screwup so badly when all they want is each other makes my heart hurt.
Worried for Rory 'cause she's falling hard for a guy that's just so very *casually* interested in her. I mean, granted sometimes he says the right thing - like last week's mentions of her being 'special' and 'beautiful' and 'girlfriend material' - but at the same time there's this underlying note that he's said it a million times before. And probably meant it each and every time which makes his displays of charm nearly meaningless.
I've been watching reruns of this show on ABC Family, and then I got sucked in to the new ones by the Luke/Lorelai. And last week KILLED me DEAD. Because I love "The Way We Were," and it makes me sob like a small child every time, and it just was NOT FAIR for them to invoke that at such a crucial time. (Last night's is waiting on the TiVo.)
Logan is bad news. BAD. I have been there and done that, and it NEVER ends well. Only in my case, it was, "You know, if I could choose one girl to date on this campus, it would be you..." Grr. *slaps charming college boys with short attention spans*
