Mom just called -- apparently the RotK EE that I ordered for The Boy's Christmas was delivered to the shop and I think she was kind of at a loss about what/who it was for. I'd let Daddy know a month ago that I was pre-ordering it and having it go to him since I was worried it would't arrive before 12-22.

Wow. So when you pre-order something - then they will deliver it to you on the date it is released?? Is this how it works? Because...why would I ever leave the house again.

Oh - also -- Best Aunt Ever. Just saying. It is a good thing I sent it to my Parents. If I had it here - I'd just go ahead and give it to the boy so we could watch it right now.

Will this day ever END??

If you order well enough in advance. And if you're lucky. Amazon can be spotty with that kind of thing. For true pre-order goodness, shop deepdiscountdvd.com. They seem to deliver consistently on or before the release date (shops are generally allowed a little bit of leeway for shipping time to send it out shortly before the date -- if the package makes good time, you luck out).

I did! They were with the College Drop Out Jewel Case that I lost back in August. I can only think that the keys went on a quest for the One True CD Case.

That is so beautiful. It reminds me of the time my sister dropped something in my car and came back up with my driver's license that I'd lost months earlier. Awww...that was during the summer after she dropped out of her German study abroad program and came home early all depressed and I nudged and pushed and encouraged her to take some summer courses to make up some of the lost credits and she was living in the town where I was working and the summer classes we found were at a branch university campus about 15-20 minutes away from the town where I was living (which was an hour-long drive from the town where I was working) and she didn't have a car, so after work on Tuesdays I would pick her up and drive her to this branch campus and then go pick her up several hours later, bring her back to my place, and then take her back out there in the morning so she could go to class all day on Wednesday, after which she'd stay over again and I'd take her back up to work with me on Thursday morning so she could crash at her crappy student house (god, that place was a shithole, but she was living with her boyfriend (who later turned into her husband (but not legally)) and it was only for the summer) and work all weekend bartending, and who but your pushy big sister will drive you out into the middle of the cornfields and abandon you for 14 hours at a "campus" that consists of a single large building with only vending machine food for sale during summer term and force you to take community college-level classes for (knock on wood) transfer credit that you ultimately will not need when you withdraw from college completely during the following school year? Huh? Answer me that?

I so am. I'm fairly sure I bought her food to take with her and/or gave her vending machine money after the first disastrous day with little or no food. Anyway, she didn't die.

This is *exactly* what Dawn says every time I bring up the time she fed me an entire bottle of Flintstones Vitamins. She was convinced they were really just candy and used me as an experimental group with herself as a control.
