Dorktastic! The Story of Sisabet
Jun. 29th, 2005 01:08 pmSo I have been tagged by
tzikeh to list five reasons that I am a dork. I think just linking to my five past LJ entries, while appropriate, would be cheating. So I shall meme away!
Top Five Dorkitude Moments In My Life
1. I not only purchased the "Josie and the Pussycats" soundtrack - I loved it. Yeah. That's right. You heard me. I am a punk rock prom queen! Sing it!
2. I apologize to dogs/cats/small animals when I trip over them. That is actually not dorky - that is just polite. I also tell them "excuse me" when I walk past them in hallways. If I walk into a wall (happens fairly frequently) I will say "excuse me" to the wall. If I sneeze? I will say "Bless me" cause I am kinda used to people not being around and I MUST BE BLESSED AFTER SNEEZING!
3. To decorate my new apartment (what was my new apartment), I ended up framing a bunch of comic books that I liked. Mostly Superman, but I did frame the Batman issue where Bane is breaking Batman's back over his knee, despite the fact that the Knightfall series is what drove me away from comic books for over ten years.
4. I can say things like "despite the fact that the Knightfall series is what drove me away from comic books for over ten years."
5. So like - I watched Due South. Well the first 3 seasons and The Call of the Wild. And the entire story of me ordering and getting the series is a lesson in Dorkdom but not one that belongs here. That should be its own post (and I *have* to figure out a way to get my hands on season 4, and I am trusting in my dorkness to lead the way). No the thing that makes me a big ole dork is that the hottest thing I have seen in the series is not Buddy Breathing (although I appreciate the classics. That is right up there. I did appreciate that entire sequence). It is not even Vecchio with the belt (although - hot like whoa).
No, the hottest thing I have yet to see, in fact one of the hottest things I have ever seen, period, was Benton Fraser in church. Yes. Pretty man wearing blue singing in the choir. Yowsa. My mother's imprinting apparently took and I just didn't realize for thirty years but that scene makes me weak in the knees.
Because I am a big Dork.
