(no subject)

At one point yesterday, I realized I had not checked LJ for over ten hours and I started to get a little nervous, like I am never going to get caught up. Then I stopped and reflected and fucking got a clue. Now, I am much happier. Just saying.

I am grateful for Kerfuffles because I meet so many new, interesting people. I still wish they were called "kerfluffles", however. Cause "kerfluffle" is just adorable.

Today, on the way to work, I was listening to the public radio station. NPR hadn't come on yet, they were playing music. And lo and behold, I heard my first ever "Highlander" vid song. Not that I am going to vid Highlander, and not that I am ever going to vid that song - but...if I were - then I would vid that song. It's just the first time I've seen a vid in my head to that fandom and it was pretty exciting, I gotta say.

Right now I am putting off everything that I should be doing in favor of working out a vid-like thing that seized me and made me lay clips like a madwoman for 24 hours straight and then laughed at me for slowing down and becoming stuck on the end. Stupid Vid-thing. You suck.

Music, Music and a Little Bit O' News

Happiness reigns as I have finally found a radio station in Lexington that does not suck. WRGB - serving the Lexington and Georgetown needs - I love you. Music and NPR. Good music - with artists not on top 40 (although there was some Coldplay today - but that's just fine)and variety. Yes. This is good. And I like NPR as well - it is quiet and factual and sometimes I learn something and it often makes me think. Actually, these are the reasons I enjoy truepenny's and meymbrosia's LJ as well. It may have not stopped raining for the past two days, I may be sitting here in my drab, gray cubicle, damp because I can't locate my pink umbrella, with only a yogurt and a plum for lunch, but I couldn't care because I have something to listen (besides the CDs heres_luck so thoughtfully makes for me - and really, how am I the only LJ user with "here's luck radio" listed as an interest? The mind boggles.)
