I Ramble, Therefore I Am...Me

So Dawn won't let me vid Weezer unless it is to remake "Getchoo."

I love Weezer. If I was going to chuck it all and follow one person (real person) around in a fangirl daze it would be Rivers Cuomo.

Dawn doesn't get it, she of the mighty Kid Rock and Fleetwood Mac love. Dawn was never a geek. Dawn lettered in varsity basketball in high school. I lettered on the Academic Team. Cappy falls somewhere in the middle. She is in the Colorguard and Band - so while she is extremely geeky, she is a well coordinated geek. When you think about it, a geek with spatial skills is really no geek at all. I am the sole sister geek. I stand alone.

Also - Spander-Fic is ruining me for vidding Spander. Because the source just really isn't there - not like it is in my head. I was storyboarding a potential vid to "Burning Down the House" and I was crushed because I suddenly realized that scene where Spike exits the mosh-pit at the Offspring concert never actually happened on the show, I was remembering Juliatheyounger's excellent "We're Not Gay..." This makes me sad. All I want it some canon Spander - or something close enough so I can manipulate it. I know I have some scenes that are close, but nothing that really captures what I want.

I'm off to Kentucky for the weekend. I plan on working on feedback while I am there - I'm gonna burn the vids I have on the list to disc (parent's are on dial-up and I have deadlines) so I can review to my heart's content. I am also printing Spander to read so I can have a few noncomputery moments at home. I would be reading Spillowgel, but it hasn't been updated despite my now addict-like need for the stuff. (It's the post-apocolypse! And Spike is messed up and falling for Willow! Who is also messed up! And Angel holds it all together! And pimps!)
