sisabetSo I am moved. I am now in The Place. For the most part. I went internet-less for a day (I'm back at work now) and it almost killed me. I feel like I have been gone for weeks.

caphricacorn has been a godsend. Seriously, I would have no idea where anything goes but she does and she was able to help me unpack enough last night that we could hunker down in the floor in pile of bedspreads, cusions and comforters and watch Smallville. Cappy hasn't really watched the show, but saw some vids right before the move and was interested in the "story."
Oh hell. Cappy is shallow as all get out and wanted to watch pretty boys. Who am I to say no?
Cutting for Conversations with Cappy:
Cappy: So what grade are they in anyway?
Me: Oh, Clark's a freshman.
Cappy: NO WAY!! I am sorry, but he is not younger than me.
[I explain how Jonathan and Martha guessed at his age - that Dawn thinks the kid in the Pilot is probably closer to five and since she is a pediatrician, I go with her estimate, but that Clark was probably kinda "delayed" as a kid so making him 3 instead of 5 was most likely a good idea from a socialization standpoint).
Cappy: Oh, so physically he is 17 but emotionally 15? Yeah, I buy that.
[watch more eps]
Cappy: So Clark is a senior now?
Me: Yeah - season 4 is senior year.
Cappy: And he and Lex are gonna become enemies
Me: Apparently - I think the real rift will probably happen at the end of Season 4
Cappy: [getting excited]: OMIGOD! You know what they should do? Okay, at Clark's graduation he should have to fight this big demon snake and then they should blow up the school!
Me:...
Cappy: And then - Okay so Clark is standing there in the siren light and there are firetrucks and ambulances and he looks up and he sees Lex and they just look at each other and then Lex just turns and walks away.
Me: My god, you are a freaking' genius!
Cappy then watched "Prodigal" and decided that Lucas Luthor was almost a dead ringer for Season 1 Angel (and she has a point).
Cappy: [Clark and Lucas are in an alley] Lucas should totally throw a jewelry box at Clark and and say "Let's just say, I'm a friend." and then kinda walk away and then Clark should say "Maybe I don't want a friend." and then Lucas should turn around and kinda point at Clark and and say "I didn't say I was yours" then Clark should open the box and see that it is a silver cross and wonder if that was a burn.
Me: Shit, that would work.
Cappy: I love this show. It reminds me of my youth.
Later on - we were at the grocery store in the toilet paper aisle
Cappy: Y'know, if I was gonna be a porn star - I think I would use Angel Soft as my name. That would be a really good porn name.
Me:...
So, I'm not really all that used to having a 16 year old girl around - especially one not interested in Science Fiction at all. How is it possible we are related. I made her watch "Donnie Darko" and she was all excited right after seeing it, but then she decided she didn't like it the next day. She also did not like "Twin Peaks" and was mildly interested in "The Invisible Man."
Luckily - we share a love of the pretty. Smallville should have been my first choice. Well, actually - I made her watch Oz.
Me: See! Prison is *just* like that. Don't fuck up.
Cappy: meep!
I'm also her favorite person cause I broke down and let her drive my car.
