I am okay. Still. As soon as the Angel aired Wednesday, my cell phone rang and it was
valereix calling to check up on me and really - we just kinda went Omigod and I told her about The Boy's idea for Fredwess - a new Angel character, played by Alexis Denisoff. I think it would work - but you would need to call him Fwedwess cause that is good shit right there, yo.
I'd talk more about it and explain, but I kinda can't right now. I think I am gonna watch "In the Dark" with
sockkpuppett and
elynross tonight and that is about it for my mental processes. Wait - they've already watched it.
Spike. Just...Spike.
::shakes head::
So I am sitting at my desk and really - this is the first time all week I have even remotely goofed off and I blame this one attorney for putting me on hold forever - I started looking at the CD liners from the stock I keep on my desk and Kanye West's "College Dropout" made me kinda tearful.
Poor Kanye, he never won that poetry contest or played basketball, or cheered or walked the line and while I know there is a greater allegory at work here in the visual presentation of the booklet (something I really appreciate about West's work - bigtime. See his vid for "Thru the Wire" - I wanna do that with Angel. Not the song - but the vid concept. I have the song all ready) than what I am taking away from it - I still want to feed him soup.
Soup he would probably hate. And I really don't wish to nurture him so much as hang out. 'Cause anyone that writes the following lyrics is freakin' brilliant and insightful and dude. He never won.
This dope money here is Lil Trey's scholarship
Cause aint no to tuition for havin no ambition
And aint no loans for sittin your ass at home
So we forced to sell crack rap and get a job
You gotta do something man your ass is grown
---We Don't Care
Also, it is all about Angel. I'm serious. It really is. Listen to the entire track if you don't believe me. Just replace dealing crack with - well you could replace it with a number of things, it really depends on the angle of the vid. Talking about it anymore will make me sad.
I can talk about Smallville without getting sad. I got the S2 DVDs the other day and listened to the actor's commentary track on "Red" and man...I normally don't give two figs about the actors, but Kristin Kruek comes across as more useless than Lana Lang. Maybe it was just because she obviously did not want to be there and in that case, loudmouth dude needed to shut up and quit asking her what Lana is thinking in any given scene. DUDE - we all know that Lana is NOT thinking. Even Kristin knows this.
Also, loudmouth needed to quit interrupting Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling cause they were funny - they were MISTing the ep and it was great. MR even said CLex! Hee. Twice, I think. And there were impressions. It was cute. I was entertained.
I tried to reserve a spot at the Friday Banquet at the slayage con, but the fact that I actually have to speak to a real person threw me and I told her I would have to call her back. That and I really don't know how I am registered and what name to use and all that.

Seriously? I get S2 in the mail soon. Finally, something TV-related to look forward to.
