Today is your day of Holy Obligation and if anyone so much as thinks of stating it is the last one, I'll kill every last one of you bitches. Ahem. I mean - Your Holy Day of Obligation is Eternal. Just like Angel.
If Angel is dusted tonight - I don't know that I will ever be able to recover.
Hey! Did you know that if you forget to pay your electric bill, they will come out and turn it off? And they really don't care that you went to the website twice in the past month and then got distracted before you could finalize payment. They will cut you off. And then you could come home at lunch to walk the dog and wonder why it is so quiet. And a home without electricity is very quiet indeed. Then you have to call the electric company to make certain they are the reason you are without power and it has nothing to do with the guy on your roof. Then you have to wonder why there is a man on your roof. And why is he just sitting there?
Then you think that if you were not so afraid of heights, you might want to hang out on the roof, as well. Then you remember that you hate the outdoors and all for which it stands. Fresh Air! Pttiuu! Let's never speak of it again.
Hey - I remastered Last Stand in Open Country - y'know - the Angel/Lindsey vid I did last year. The one I said I was not going to remaster. Well. I lie. I redid it and I did make some changes - not many though. It was interesting going back and seeing the choices that I made then - especially regarding timing. Back then I was much more interested in vidding internal movement on the dominant beat. It still appeals to me - I think my next projects will be actually melding my current attitudes about CUTTING ON THE BEAT with the instinctual choices I've made in the past. Which is interesting only to me - so sorry I wandered there for a bit.

A quick question - I'm trying to remain as "unspoiled" as I can for Seasons 2-4, would watching this vid be better once I've seen those, or is it sort of safe?

Date: 2004-05-19 05:07 pm (UTC)I can't quite process the differences in the original and the remastered yet, I need to see them both a few more times, but this version is *gorgeous*. The picture is sharp, the cuts are exquisite, the pacing is marvelous.
Bear with me, because this sounds silly, but it all makes sense in my head: I was going to do a tribute to the Angelverse, write a fic, declare my love and everlasting devotion about my show one more time, something like that, but I think your vid is all the tribute I need. Closure, or something like it. (besides Not Fade Away, of course)
Anyway, beautiful. =)

Date: 2004-05-19 05:44 pm (UTC)Watching the remastered version, I can really feel the difference. It seems tighter. Also, it makes the song feel slower to me. I'm not sure why that is.
Lindsey is so pretty. ::stares::

Date: 2004-05-21 12:12 pm (UTC)I added you as a friend, hope that's ok. No need to friend back if you're full-up. Just wanted to keep up with you and your wonderful vidding abilities.
Did you ever find out exactly *why* that guy was on your roof? Were they waiting for you to pay the bill so they could instantaneously reconnect you? (like that'd ever happen...)
Thanks again!
