I don't see how you could have missed it if you have - BUT
Vividcon is auctioning off vidders. To make vids. For you. We have pretty much all the major fandoms covered and we also have some minor ones available as well (want a vid to "Corvette Summer"? Look no further). This is to raise money for the con. This con is my most favorite thing in the whole wide world...if the con and my computer were both on a ship and it was sinking and I only had room enough in the life-boat for one - well...I would put my computer in the lifeboat and jump into the water where I would make sure the con was secured above the freezing ocean atop a piece of floating furniture - I would then urge the con to go on as my lips turned an attractive shade of blue. Like Laura Palmer. Who I will vid, if you want me to. At this point, I'll even vid Titanic. I'm just trying not to hyperventilate over here.
My point is this - Vividcon rocks. We love it. We want to ensure that the con not only continues, but flourishes. We also want to keep registration prices low - and they are low - ridiculously so, but you did not hear that from me. Nope - all you heard from me was that pound for pound you get a lot of value for your Vividcon dollar. Geez - the Premiere show alone last year was just...See!? Over seven months later and words still fail me - I'll have my vid show 2003 review sometime in August. 2004. But the con is expensive to run because vidders are a costly lot to maintain. We require DVD player and media stuff and projectors and all sorts of cables and it can blow your mind. Or at least trip you if you are not extremely careful (vidders get injured a lot as well).
So - if you are interested in vids, have an idea, and want to support the con - go have a looksee.

"But sisabet," you ask, "I want to support the con, but I cannot attend."
Well that is no problem - attending the con is not necessary to compete in this auction.
"But sisabet," you ask, "I have no [vid ideas, bidding is too pricey, etc] is there any other way I can support Vividcon, for it sounds like a worthy and noble Con."
Well, I am so glad you asked - even if you are not attending the con (and muchas gracias to
just_eunice for reminding me of this) there are supporting memberships available. Just go here to check it out:

And I wish to assure you all that I am most definitely *not* hyperventillating.
No - hyperventillating would require that I be able to actually *breathe*
