I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
Mar. 27th, 2004 09:07 amI am running so late for my fabulous Weekend in the lovely Cincinnatti - but I need to post this.
Have you ever been driving, cooking, gardening, dancing at da club, or shopping at Target and suddenly you heard the perfect song for fandom X and you knew that this could be the video that changes everything and finally shuts up that snooty gal on the list you read about how your pairing makes no sense? Only - you didn't have the tech, source, time or hell - let's throw in time again - to make it?
Or
Have you ever wanted to grab a vidder by the hair and make her your bitch? What? Is that just me?
(In case you were wondering - this is the part where I whore myself out for a good cause).
I'll make the vid you want. No matter what that vid may be. Even if I have severe moral issues... yes - I will vid Spuffy to "A Groovy Kind of Love" and I will do it exactly as you want me too cause I have issues with authority and submission.
Also - it is for Vividcon.
Yes - the auction to benefit the con is up and the vidders are now on the block. We've got Lum (hehehe - look at her show some leg - that's my girl!) - We've got Roach, we've got Carol S. and Angel - we've got a million ways to entertain you. You want Stargate? We've got Stargate. You want Andromeda, Brimstone, or The X-Files? Oh boy -- have we got a vidder for you.
Yes - bid now, bid often and bid for a vid -- theoretically you could use the money to sponsor a third world child, but really -- is that kid gonna understand that Clark and Lex are destiny's bitches? Sheah, right - trust me, when you write to your sponsored child all about the twu wuv of Spike and Angel, all you get back in return is "Today in my village, we dug a well. Mother is very ill." How is that applicable?? Kids today and their screwed up priorities.
All money raised goes toward Vividcon and that, my friends (oh I just channeled a bit of Bobby Hobbes there, did you see that?) is a worthy cause. The con is very expensive to run and suprisingly cheap to attend and we want to keep it that way.
So - Go check it out - let me know what you think - and have fun cause this is all about fun. And making me kneel.

Date: 2004-03-28 06:08 pm (UTC)I want to do this all the time - especially since most of my mental vids involve footage that doesn't actually exist, but should.

Date: 2004-03-27 11:59 am (UTC)Didn't Buffy want 'Wind Beneath My Wings' at her wedding? That would be lovely.
But if a certain gentleman scores this evening, sisabet will be mine not yours. Nyyah!

You do realize that this could be misinterpreted by those who have not read your LJ?
And the bidding isn't over for a week. Besides, I'm getting more ideas . . .

Date: 2004-03-28 06:47 pm (UTC)Dark Side
Date: 2004-03-29 12:05 pm (UTC)Much like this it seems our sisabet has a darkside that aches to come out. It probably poured onto the streets of New Orleans, the she longs for each day, but here in the bible belt it is kept in check, and only shadows are allowed to escape, and I'm sure that I'll never see this side being psuedo-family, the most protected category from the dark side. And what remains is this journal.
Just making an observation. Sociologists do that once in a while. Enough of psychoanalysis for the day.
ciao,
Cristo
